As the annual celebration of romance and dating arrives again this year, Christian Cinema has assembled a list of a half-dozen, diverse romantic films for you and your sweetheart to enjoy this Valentine’s Day via Digital On Demand. Locating our human relationships within the context of God’s love can be transformative, and these films remind us of the power we find in loving God first.
Running For Grace (2018): An orphan boy of mixed race finds family with the newly arrived white village doctor in Hawaii. The boy can run like the wind, and begins bringing Doc's medicine to coffee pickers throughout the mountainous region. On an errand, the medicine runner meets the daughter of the plantation owner and a forbidden, young love blossoms like the white "Kona Snow" of the surrounding coffee trees.
Old Fashioned (2015): Chivalry Makes a Comeback. A romantic-drama, Old Fashioned centers on Clay Walsh, a former frat boy who gives up his carousing and now runs an antique shop in a small Midwestern college town. There, he has become notorious for his lofty and outdated theories on love and romance.
Princess Cut (2015): A lifelong Carolina farm girl, now in her early 20’s, Grace (Ashley Bratcher) has dreamed all her life of the day when “Mr. Right” slips a Princess Cut diamond on her finger and swears to love her forever. Tonight may be that night as Stewart has something special planned after 15 months together! Coffee Shop (2017): Love is brewing. This charming romantic comedy tells the story of coffee shop owner Donavan who is a magician with coffee but a klutzy control-freak with her dating life. She forms an unlikely friendship with wayward playwright Ben, when a banker enters the picture wanting to close down her beloved shop. Can Donavan regain her faith in herself and others in time to save the coffee shop and find out what true love really is?
