"I got frustrated looking for an older claymation movie for my husband. I looked at about 6 or 7 different web sites and I finally found it on ChristianCinema.com. This site has everything."

His strength made him a boxer. His faith made him a champion.
A preacher struggling to make a difference in his community. A son carrying on a vision handed down by his father. A believer struggling to maintain his faith in an ungodly world. For those who missed it in the theaters or want to relive the journey. For those looking for a new way to share the gospel. For those in search of hope and inspiration. Don't miss this opportunity to own the film that exhorts all of us to "Fight the good fight" finish the race and keep the faith."
Former cruiserweight champion Orlando Leone (Carman) runs a youth center and works as a security guard for a local hotel. He finds himself in a confrontation with the current cruiserweight champion when responding to a complaint of too much noise in the hotel. The boxing promoter hearing of this and the publicity it brings blackmails Orlando into a must fight situation.

This movie was really good. I actually was surprised at how much I liked it. However, drug dealing thugs in the movie may be scary to younger viewers. Boxing is the theme, so alot of violence and intimidation is shown and the pastor kisses his new girlfriend (No, not just a peck) which I wasn't thrilled with. So view it only with an approriate group.

Personally, I'm a Born Again Christian, & I have this movie about Carman! I, as well as, I see another person, being disappointed a bit at this movie! I also noticed the scenes with his girlfriend, that I too felt were kind of inappropriate as a Believer! Also the cuss words that are in the movie! I'm wondering if, as a believer, if this is a good movie to share with other Believers?! I have a selection of "Faith Based" movies, but I question wether I should include this movie with them?! I'll have to pray about this!
God Bless, Ed Dennis (MrEd)

I thought this was an EXCELLENT film. I have children (who are adults) who have a hard time trying to relate to God and how God helps us and how having God in our lives affects us on a daily level. This film made them start thinking about God and how we can include Him in our lives and how God can change us. I wish Carman would make more movies like this. It is truly inspirational. Thank you, Lorrie Jacobs

Good movie with great acting. More of a "guy film" but the family enjoyed it. Christian message without being preachy.

I was very disappointed with it being a film by Carman. There were inappropriate scenes between he and his girlfriend. There were cuss words used. Also, the party scenes were distasteful. The movie could of been made without all that. We would not even let our children watch it.
The Champion - DVD – David M, 04/25/2006
8X delivers its usual high quality production values. The Champion is a well-done film with a good story, however it has two fatal weaknesses. First, is the questionable relationship between Carman and the female lead in the film. Second, is the somewhat questionable promotion of Carman's pummeling of another individual in a boxing match as a valid means of raising funds for ministry.
