Description:

Some people are just dying to be heard.

Jake and Roger grew up as best friends. But in high school, Jake becomes a star athlete who has it all: a college scholarship and the perfect girl, an ideal life that comes at the exclusion of his childhood friend. Meanwhile, Roger no longer fits in anywhere and becomes tired of always being pushed aside. He makes a tragic move that spins Jake's world out of control. As Jake searches for answers, he begins a journey that will change his life forever.

This indie movie about the real-life challenges of teens and their choices was written by Jim Britts, a seasoned youth pastor combining his film degree with a passion to reach youth.

Stars Randy Wayne (Dukes of Hazzard, Sons & Daughters), Deja Kreutzberg (Sorority Row, CSI: Miami), and Joshua Weigel (The Butterfly Circus, Stained)

Unfortunately, there are many reviewers who believe this movie either should not (as in, why does the film have to show this) or does not (as in, teenagers in our town do not act this way) depict stereotypical high school behavior (but let me assure you, this is how teenagers behave - maybe not yours, but certainly many). In an effort to honestly show the life of the typical, unsaved teenager, this film lays everything bare, for all to see. Is any of their immoral behavior acceptable, certainly not; but it is how lots of kids live. After Jake accepts Christ, all of his unsaved friends reject him, even Angie (his girlfriend). Then, Angie is rejected by her unsaved friends (no spoilers here, though). Where does Angie turn, and while it is not depicted, but to Christ. A remarkable film, in its brutal honesty!

This movie touches on several topics. All which teens are facing in our society today. I think this movie also takes a realistic view of the real emotions also associated with each topic . I feel every teen could benefit from this movie wheather going through bullying, teen pregnancy, struggling with fitting in, salvation or just being that one person who is a friend to anyone in need. I feel its also for a mature audience, and parents should view as well for great discussion.

I enjoyed the movie because it dealt with teen violence and suicide. This show helped the audience to understand that it is everyone's responsibility to love those around us. Love is the best prevention.
