Based on the classic novel by Jack London, Call of the Wild stakes its claim to being that rare breed of adventure series that parents and kids can enjoy together.

Jack London's classic adventure story has been interpreted for the screen a number of times, but this version does one of the best jobs of capturing all the excitement and the drama of London's timeless coming-of-age tale.

Adapted by White Fang screenwriter David Fallon and starring Nick Mancuso, this exciting saga introduces Miles Challenger (Shane Meier), a 15-year-old boy living in an Alaskan mining town at the turn of the century, whose life changes forever when he encounters a heroic and powerful dog named Buck.

I\'m shocked that this movie is in the catagory \"christian\" as it says Gd twice in the first 10-15 minutes, amoung other curse words. The violence and brutality towards the dogs is really harsh for my students. We read the book and it had 1 curse word, it told of the dogs pains but not about the brutality and gore that the movie showed.
I am a mother and a teacher at a christian school and I wouldn\'t show this to my children in my home or my students at school.

I was a bit disappointed with this film. A large part of the film had the kids in a bar and men drinking and fighting. There was also profanity in this film. I bought this film because I was looking for a film that I could trust to be safe for our family. The story line was good but I had to fast forward large parts of it because it was not appropriate for our family and 7 year old.
