Everything Is Spiritual
Rob Bell, creator of Nooma, shares the essence of spirituality
In the Hebrew scriptures there is no word for “spiritual.” And Jesus never used the phrase “spiritual life.”
Rob Bell lives with his family in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he’s the founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church. He also teaches in a short film format called NOOMA, and his first books are Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith and Sex God: Exploring the Endless Connections Between Sexuality and Spirituality.

I gave this dvd 3 stars. Overall - it has a lot of information and presents it in a way, that if you are an engineer, or have that kind of analytical mind, you will really like the way it is layed out. It was great for me because it was visual, and I am a visual learner. Gave me some great visuals on understanding certain concepts. BUT, I gave it only 3 stars because, I don't recommend much else that Rob Bell preaches. Most of his stuff is off track with the bible. It is 99% good... but 1% wrong. And as you know, 1 degree off of any path, and before long, you are a mile from where you were headed. Remember - rat poison is 99% edible ingredients. It's the 1% that kills you.

Sorry, Justin! I truly hate to break this to you but it needs to be said: that there is a good possibility that this presentation may have gone right over your head! One thing that may have thrown you off track (I've noticed this same thing with other friends of mine, as well) was that Rob Bell did leave out the explanations as to WHY he found these particular points to be relevant! Instead, he left it up to the viewer to take away from it whatever they would or could, which I thought was brilliant! In so doing, whatever stage you are at in your growth there should be something there for you! As for me, when he got to the part of splitting the quarks I was jumping up & down in my chair! Einstein's "spooky science" totally not only proves the existence of God but absolutely explains that we are just simply living in a different dimension! This is why it is so difficult for us to "see"! Science & spirituality seemingly have been at odds since civilization began but in fact they are really one in the same! God is the Scientist of scientists, just like, "He is The King of kings & The Lord of lords"! :-)

WOW-THIS DVD WAS SO GOOD. My husband and I watched it together, and we both learned so much and it got us think and talking about God in new ways :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

With a fascinating combination of physics, humor, scripture and mind-altering theories, Rob Bell takes the viewer from Genesis 1:1 to quarks and back again. I intended to watch just a short portion of his presentation, but found myself captivated with what he was teaching. It bears multiple watchings, but in the end, you have to agree with him: everything is spiritual. Excellent!!!

normally i love rob bell and his nooma videos... but this one bored me to death. i was familiar with a lot of the theories he discussed from my theology classes but it fell a little short for me. usually rob has a special way of looking at things that make you think and challenges you to live more in tune with God, but this struck me as a lot of psycho-babble. sure there were a few points that were good, but you have to sit thru so much just to get to the point. his benedictions are always good. if you rent it, save yourself the time and fast-forward to the benediction - the good part!
