The incredible true story of the Beam family, Miracles from Heaven, is coming home on digital June 21 and on Blu-ray and DVD on July 12! Sony Pictures and AFFIRM Films’ adaptation of Christy Beam’s (Jennifer Garner) book about the miraculous healing of her ten-year-old daughter, Annabel (Kylie Rogers), shares the way a girl with a rare, incurable digestive disorder fell into a tree, saw Jesus, and came out healed on the other side.
With Academy Award nominee Queen Latifah in a supporting role as a friend to the Beams, the film hit the eighth spot on the Christian Movie Box Office. Now, fans of Randy Brown’s screenplay and those who missed it in the theater can bring home this uplifting story about family and the power of prayer. Also starring Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, and Eugenio Derbez, the film will delight people of faith and those seeking to be reminded of how God continues to move in the world. Producers include Joe Roth, T.D. Jakes and DeVon Franklin.
Special features on the home media release include commentary from those behind the story, as well as the making of featurette “Miracles Abound:The Making of Miracles From Heaven.” The real-life Beams, Annabel’s doctor, their pastor, and community get interviewed through several featurettes, including “Bearing Witness,” from the family ranch in Burleson, TX. Lovers of films like this and Christian music will appreciate the “Your Words” montage, where a music video of sorts has been assembled to the tune of Third Day’s song of the same name. The Blu-ray and Digital releases include exclusive deleted scenes and the featurette “Accounts from Annabel,” where Christy and Anna reflect together on their past, present, future, faith and bonding over the past four years since the incident.
