Melinda Ledman is a graduate of Baylor University, a film critic, screenwriter, homeschooling mom, and soccer enthusiast. An editor at ChristianCinema.com and a senior writer/previous editor at Hollywood Jesus, she has been reviewing films for eleven years. On the side, Melinda serves as a "script doctor," providing coverage, development services, and rewrites for studios, production companies, directors and screenwriters.
The bulk of excitement in her day comes from homeschooling her four children, ages five to twelve years. With a "homeschooling moment" around every corner, Melinda laughs and screams for sanity every day. She credits God alone for the incredible life she gets to lead, having been rescued from alcoholism by His great hand. Now with sixteen years of sobriety, she loves to share about God's relentless perseverance. There is no life he cannot change, no hope beyond reach, and no plateau when it comes to God's restoration.
Her favorite verse is Psalm 40:2-3, "He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him."
