Treasuring Your Relationships
Pastel-colored hearts with cute sayings are visible everywhere – we must be close to Valentine’s Day. There’s a lot of pressure associated with Valentine’s Day. You want to give your sweetheart just the right gift to bring a smile to their face. Is it dinner and a movie? Tickets to the theater? Perhaps a romantic weekend or vacation for the two of you?
I received a wonderful gift recently, and I’m calling it my Valentine’s Day gift. Some friends gave me a new sofa. It’s beautiful. I’m moving soon into a new home and have very little living room furniture; it’s the perfect gift.
Even though Valentine’s Day is typically associated with romantic love, consider it a day to treasure the relationships in your life. Celebrate with friends and loved ones and lots of chocolate!

Valentine's Day Movie in Theaters
Check your local theaters for a new movie Valentine’s Day weekend from Dave Christiano. Titled Me & You, Us, Forever, it’s based in part on Dave’s own story of love found and love lost.
The film covers a span of 30 years, from 1974 to 2004, and is a story of romance, divorce, and healing.
Dave took on the challenge of marketing this film himself and doing the legwork to book the film in 83 cities in 34 states. The film will only be shown in theaters equipped with digital cinema. He’s hoping the film will do well enough in its opening weekend to add more cities the weekend of May 9th.

Industry Interview
Christians in Cinema: Kathryn Worsham
by Angela Walker
Kathryn Worsham, a liberal arts major at the University of Texas, already has a variety of experience on her resume. She’s been in plays, done musical theater, acted in a music video, as well as a couple of local independent films in her hometown of Houston, Texas.
This Valentine’s Day, she can be seen on the big screen at theaters all across the country in the feature film “Me & You, Us, Forever.” Written and directed by Dave Christiano, it’s his personal story about first love, divorce, and what might be.
I caught Kathryn in between classes at UT one afternoon to talk with her about the film, her education, and her hopes for the future.

New Release: The Ten Commandments (Animated) - DVD
Behold the power of the Lord in this extraordinary CGI version of the story of Exodus
Condemned to die by the Pharaoh while just a baby, Hebrew Moses is set adrift on the River Nile by his mother and his sister. Rescued by the daughter of the Pharaoh, he grows up thinking he’s an Egyptian prince. Eventually exiled from Egypt when he is exposed as a Jew, he is touched by God and told that he will lead his enslaved Chosen People to the Promised Land. Filled with high adventure, miraculous events, and a gentle sense of humor, The Ten Commandments showcases Moses, the reluctant prophet, who was the only man in Biblical history to see the face of God and call him “friend.”
Featuring the voice talent of Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley (Ghandi), Academy Award nominee Elliott Gould (Ocean’s Thirteen), Alfred Molina (Spiderman 2), and Christian Slater (Bobby) as the voice of Moses

The special debuts on PBS on March 1, 2008, and the CD and DVD companions will be released on March 4, 2008.
Rambo 4 Banned in Myanmar
Police in what is now officially Myanmar have banned the film and have given strict orders to shops not to sell pirated copies of the movie.
In "Rambo 4," Vietnam War veteran John Rambo spends his retirement in northern Thailand where he's running a longboat. On the nearby Thai-Burma border, the Burmese-Karen conflict rages into its 60th year. A pastor enlists his help when Christian missionaries are kidnapped by Burmese soldiers in Karen state.
The film has already proved to be a rallying point for many to decry the ruling junta.

Standing at the crossroads of America's destiny
We showed this movie at our Bible study and all were impressed with the quality and message of this documentary. It is wonderful to see a movie with the truth as a foundation. This is a good witness tool to lost people as it presents facts in an unbiased manner...

Me & You, Us, Forever
The love story that took 30 years to tell
Me & You, Us, Forever is the story of a 47 year old Christian man who is on the other side of an unwanted divorce. Troubled by it all, he starts to reminisce about his old high school girlfriend, who was his first love, and whom he dated for 2 years, 4 months, and 28 days.
"A love story coming that time of year is for the romantic at heart," says Christiano. "And I believe anybody who did not marry their first love, anyone who wants to see a love story, and those who have been affected by divorce, will all be able to completely relate to the sentiment of this film."
