Change of Plans, with a great cast (perky when required, serious as necessary), gives their all, in this formulaic movie; but you knew that, when you rented a film concerning Family Movie Night. Clean fun, upstanding morals, respectful relationships, and a happy ending. This is a true popcorn movie, so enjoy!

All in all, a good cute movie. A bit slow at times, but that is regrettably somewhat typical of a 'family movie'. Despite that, we must admit that we liked this movie quite a bit! Great message about how to handle sudden changes in life - not overtly religious, but practical approach to keeping an open mind to what God might do. The plot wraps up a bit abruptly, and stops and starts a bit, so if you need seat-of-the-pants drama this movie might not be for you. Other than that, grab the kids, pop the corn and enjoy the show!

Great movie--great acting. Even my 22 year old enjoyed with us!! Highly recommend it. I do wish they would have referenced God and His love and a relationship with Jesus Christ with these kids...but it was a clean uplifting movie!!

This was a well done movie, we really liked it. The whole family watched it. Neat characters and clean for the whole family.

Is very entertaining and moves along swiftly and impressive production value. As a Christian, I thought the Christian aspects were a bit too muted. I mean, Christ is the reason for sacrifice and dedication to family. I suppose the parents whom the children lost were missionaries but I don't recall it ever saying it. And the only reference to God was a prayer at dinner and nothing more. The power of Christ was what should change them, not their own realization that they need to 'work things out'. Aside from that, and that is kind of big, we did enjoy it and it had positive messages through out.

Very predictable. Felt more new-aged than inspirational. When the younger boy said that he felt ashamed of how he acted towards his sister (after speaking harshly with her) the "foster" mom acted like it was nothing to be ashamed for...that it was good he spoke his mind. Don't feel like it taught good values. Your typical modern acting movie.
