HOLLOW is a tale of addiction and redemption in the outskirts of a city where crime is a way of life. As their worlds collide, four desperate people find the harder they try to fill the void in their lives, the emptier they feel.

A local drug dealer wrestles with his conscience when his friend gets in too deep with a ruthless gangster. An exotic dancer, fighting to gain control of her life, is pressured to do more and pushed further into the dark world of pornography. A narcotics detective finds his marriage in jeopardy due to his online addiction. A reformed street thug returns to the old neighborhood and tries to make a difference with the street brother he left behind.

Poor acting......boring and disappointing

Hollow, is an ultra low budget film (estimated production cost is about $2,000) similar to Oversold and Saving God (please see our reviews of Oversold and Saving God, as they are superior films in every way, relative to Hollow). Hollow suffers from a continued focus on the darkness existing in the world, with only its ending offering a slight glimmer of hope. In addition, it is very slow moving and could have easily been shorted by one-third. Enjoy!

I know others have disagreed but this movie is very very good. It's a great movie helping to show how the underworld works and helps to propose ways to reach out to help those in it in what I felt was an effective way by showing the pastor persevering and making himself available and showing that he himself was transformed by Christ. The music is good and fits the setting. I was not bothered by the acting, it was not a distraction and I thought was pretty dang good for a low budget movie. One thing I really liked is that the move depicts family life as it is for many and shows hope when there often feels like none. Great movie, get it.
