Facing Extinction: Christians of Iraq
34 Minutes
FACING EXTINCTION: CHRISTIANS OF IRAQ is a heart-wrenching documentary about the current plight of the Christian Minority in Muslim Iraq. This stark and forceful film holds nothing back as it gives voice to just a few of the thousands who are facing persecution at the hands of Islamist extremists. The persecution takes the form of kidnapping, rape, church bombings, barbaric torture and murder.
The film estimates that one million Iraqi Christians have been forced from their homes in recent years, some fleeing to the north of Iraq and others taking refuge in nearby countries where they are often unwelcome and forced to live under deplorable conditions. The film also documents the indifference of the Iraqi government to the situation as well as the U.S. government's refusal to offer refuge to these suffering Christians due to the current interpretation of the U.S. Patriot Act.
FACING EXTINCTION is a call to action for Western Christians to come to the aid of their brothers and sisters. It gives specific advice on how individuals can lobby the U.S. government to change the current policy and work to end this humanitarian crisis before it is too late. Narrated by Jim Caviezel [THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST].

If a documentary can dislodge an American Christian from their support for ungodly war (including the so-called war "on" terror), this is it. This unspeakable tragedy of the ancient people & culture of Assyrian (Iraqi) Christians is the direct result of the foreign policy of the United States Government, and done in our name. Even considering the often nasty nature of Saddam Hussein, the Assyrian Christians were able to practice our faith & live prosperously throughout his reign. They were so respected that his Vice President was an Assyrian Christian (Tariq Aziz). Foreign interference made a less-than-ideal society go from the proverbial frying pan into the fire.
The Assyrian Christians are the number one living connection to Jesus Christ (His biological kin, His linguistic kin, and His spiritual children). Perhaps this is why the Assyrian Christians are targeted for extermination, with no real help forthcoming from this supposed Christian land we call America.
Production quality, even despite very low-budget, is top-quality. Watch it, and share it with everyone.

This documentary needs to be seen by all American Christians, so they are aware of what is going on in Iraq with our brothers and sisters in Christ!!! And it needs to be know what American government is doing to hinder Christian families safety, by not allowing them in the United States for absurd reasons that are inhumain!!
