On DVD for the first time!
Blessed Assurance! To God Be The Glory! Praise Him, Praise Him! The list extends into the thousands, songs from the heart of blind poetress Fanny Crosby.
In this feature-length motion picture, Fanny Crosby's life and testimony unfold from her days as a teacher at the New York Institute for the Blind until, as an octogenarian, she had become established as one of the most influential women in evangelical history.
Blinded from infancy, when a well-meaning medic applied a searing poultice to her eyes, she not only accepted her blindness but became so adept many casual observers thought her sighted.
A friend of presidents, active in the ministry of D.L. Moody, appearing before large audiences nationwide, Aunt Fanny - as she came to be known - had perceptions which seem, in retrospect, to be prophetic.
Today, Fanny Crosby continues to proclaim a message both valid and compelling.
The Back To The Bible Singers provide vocals for the motion picture, as does baritone soloist George Beverly Shea.

Starts slow but more engaging even to my 8 year old.

This is a good movie and well done. As far as I can tell, it depicted Ms. Cosby it an accurate way. I love her songs and this movie told me some songs that I hadn't realized she had written! Thank you for this one. NanC

the style of acting was ver old-fashioned, and the sets were dark and gloomy looking. Maybe this was to be realistic, but it was a bit hard to get through, However, the true story, and KNOWING that this was a real person, and learning of her accomplishments, was very interesting.

I enjoyed the glimpse into the era that Fanny Crosby lived.
This was a very inspirational dvd and worth the time spent in watching it.
There is much to gain from the examples of people who walked the walk of faith. However, Fanny was challenged physically which made it even more difficult for her.
She was truly a gift from our Creator! PRAISE HIS NAME!
