Fun, exciting movie with a few unexpected turns. A bit of magical fantasy in it but kept very low. Our family enjoyed it!

My 11 year old son loved this movie. It's full of action and adventure with lots of unexpected surprises. You need to watch it carefully to understand everything that happens since things happen quickly. Grandpa and Grandma watched it and also enjoyed it.

As far as the acting goes, it was well acted and the special effects were good. However, we had to explain to our kids after the movie that taking the Lord's name in vain is first of all not ok. Second, that goes well beyond just some bad language as the Dove foundation puts it. This is definitely not a christian movie nor was there any resolve to the stealing aspect of the film like we were hoping that there would be. We rented this movie because we thought there would be a positive turnaround at the end, but stealing and disrespect for parents and adults are not ok, it was not resolved and this movie should be removed from the selection.
