I had a hard time watching this film...I couldn't finish it. Poor script, poor acting, not worth the time.

The Bill Collector, chock full of well known and accomplished actors, is in need of either a script doctor or different director (in the worst way). The message delivered by this film is terrific, in that there is an actual Christian conversion scene carefully depicted and (in very small print, at almost the end of all the credits) this film is based upon the life of two real individuals. Danny Trejo, as Frankie (depicted in the cover art) plays his part quite naturally, with no moral qualms about his business or business methods. Omar (played by David Krusen) is terrific, in that he goes from being one of Frankie's thugs (he is shown to be a relative of Frankie's, since his parents were killed while he was young), to that of a dedicated (changed) Christian. Also of note, Professor Blakeslee is played by Cristobal Krusen (and is quite good in the film). In the film, the protagonist is Lorenzo Adams (played by Gary Moore), but his performance is quite off-putting; he does demonstrate, during the ending of the film, a changed life for Christ (though it is not shown in the film). Please be aware that this film is quite slow in parts, but the ending is terrific. Enjoy!
