This is a good movie and should be enjoyed with family. Many people do not understand what it is like to lose someone who has touched your life and is thought to always be there. Losing a child, mother, father, sibling,husband or wife is so devastating. We all need closure and it helps to know people understand and care. I hope everyone who views this is blessed and shares the blessing with others.

I thought this film was very good it gives you a heart to love the desolate.. whither they are the homeless or a prostitutes we should love them in Christ... He loves us with an everlasting love... i cried the whole movie though!! if you are a hard critic you might think the acting is not the greatest tho i thought it pretty good!! i have seen far worse... and i would not recommend small children to watch it. in our household we made it 12 and up. just because it will be over their head and you will have to do a lot of explaining...

Maggie’s Passage, starring Ali Faulkner (also seen in Secret at Arrow Lake, which we have also reviewed) concerns an adopted daughter (Maggie), mistakenly trying to connect with her birth mother. This is not a pleasant journey, but one which was obviously necessary for her (the film’s primary weakness is that no realistic explanation is given as to why the journey is necessary). Mike Norris, who has directed and/or written and/or produced many, many films (most of which are OK, but not great) finally has a real winner with Maggie’s Passage, as everything seems to come together. Certainly, the homeless people are all clean and use grammatical English, but this is simply overlooked. Not to be overlooked is the suffering of both Maggie and Max (played by Mike Norris), both of who are suffering from personal loss. If you want a great weekend viewing experience, get both Maggie’s Passage and Secret at Arrow Lake, concentrating on Ali Faulkner’s character in both films. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

This movie was very touching. Loved how we oculd see what ahppens in real life situations...and how God guides us to hwere we need to be. I think all would benefit from watching this.

*** First off, this is NOT a family-friendly film. I do not know why it is listed for families.

It is about an adopted girl who runs away and becomes a whore after finding her biological mother - who despises her and verbally berates her on film, and apparently turns her over to her Pimp.

It is INCREDIBLE to me that this movie would be presented as a Family Film. Very sad.

The acting was good for a Christian movie. As an adult film it is worth watching. NOT for teens or children.

Maggie's passage: A thought provoking story of identity crisis, circumstances not being what they seem. I found myself thinking about this film and reordering it to watch again. Not necessarily the most realistic acting and story but it has a way of making you back up to look at details of it.
I would recommend this for all ages, even with some of the subject being from a seamier side of life and some violence. Because it looks at the homeless, the threat of the streets even when you think you know your way around, adoption leading to the search for birth parents, there was alot of content for such a brief period of time that the film is set in....

The story was OK but confusing. It never really explained how Maggie got into the situation she was in. She went from a loving, Christian home to prostitution in a very short period of time. Her "struggle" to return home was touching though.
