This was a beautiful film. I loved how it showed the Catholic Mexican culture and the Christian American culture of the 50's and "really" brought me IN the experience. Very talented and blessed movie. Showed how the Lord was the driving strength which empowered and uplifted the spirits of the characters in the film to build up His children & simultaneously glorified the Lord.

The film makers changed some of the actual details but without compromising the essence of the truth, that these boys did do what they did with the help of God under a great coach! And although the coach was not like the movie showed, his character made for a great story!

Cheech Marin did such awesome job that I didn't even know it was him till after the film when I watched the extras. Wow.
His character was definitely my favorite.

This is a wonderful movie! It is funny, insightful, hopeful, and very real. It is based on true story, so it makes the trials and tribulations the individuals, and the team, experience, even more pertinent.

We loaned this movie to two families with whom we are close friends, and they enjoyed it also. We highly recommend this movie to all families. It is so much better than anything currently available in the movie theaters.

Great movie! Parents watch it with your little ones, explain to them that people do things they wish they hadn't and that they run from their past. However, also use this movie to show how faith and determination are great partners to overcome life's many obstacles.
