I think the movie description already gives away its weak and its strong points: "mysterious", "sci-fi twist" (weaknesses), "re-think evangelism" (strength). Those less gracious than die-hard Christian movie fans might easily replace "mysterious' with "weird".
My husband and I are Christians, and we want Christian movies. When we were done watching Dialtone we weren't sure whether we should recommend it or not. My husband summed up his impression as follows: "It's not exactly entertaining." The movie is only 40 minutes long and presents one single idea: are we witnessing like we should?
Christians willing to be challenged might find a blessing here. For Christians actively trying to reach the lost with the gospel, the message of Dialtone will be nothing new. I personally would say it's worth watching once but I am not sure I would buy it again. It is not as appealing as more mainstream Christian movies, such as "Fireproof" or "Faith Like Potatoes".
