Great movie! We watched for family night, not sure if our boys would embrace it (they are 6 and 12). But, they both liked it, and our 6 year old said he LOVED it.

My family and I thought that this movie was garbage. I turned it off after 24 minutes, although I should have done it right after the beginning scene; which opened with an UNMARRIED couple living together and the girlfriend in skin-tight clothing. Not my idea of "funny" in any way. If there is "redemption" in this movie, my family will NEVER know because the intro to the movie was completely distasteful. I am shocked that Billy Graham's name is plastered to the front of the disc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE. I only gave it one star because I had to to write this review.

Great Message & Good Story. Acting somewhat corny, not the best quality, but I appreciate very much the message of the film about the need for Christ in our lives and how He makes such a difference.

I am giving this 4 stars because of the message of the film; sinners need Jesus Christ. In my opinion, the movie is not for young children. The content and storyline is adult in nature. One example of this is (which the Dove Foundation review missed) was that the main characters; an unmarried couple, are living together.

I'm usually not one for comedies, but I like this one a lot! The acting is really good and it does have a lot of funny scenes in it. Most importantly, the gospel is very clearly presented! Great movie for everyone!

I was a little leery when I rented this movie. Steve Carrell has a tendency to be a bit crass, and Bible parody movies are frequently poorly done and leave me angry at the spoof. However, this was a really good movie! My husband and I laughed out loud several times and the intertwining of the Biblical story was actually quite well done. There was no problematic language (that I remember) and no questionable scenes. All in all a good watch!

We thought it was a good movie. The overall message was great. It taught my children to stand up for what they belive in no matter what. Evan at one point in the movie stood completely alone, lost his wife, kids, career, but continued to persue what God called him to do. How many of us would do the same?

This was an okay movie. I liked the struggle Evan finds himself in. Being called by God, and forsaking a job, carreer, family and pleasures of life for a higher calling. It's something I could relate to. Its something many Christians can relate to. This movie captures the sincerity of that struggle, yet mocks it at the same time. Maybe I'm reading into it too much.
The ending really rubbed me the wrong way. It made me realize that Hollywood simple does NOT GET Christianity. At the end, God writes "ARK" in the sand with a stick saying "Acts of Randon Kindness" as if that's the moral/point/ or main desire of God for humanity. This is a 'works based salvation' that is unfortunately the opinion of the majority of our western culture. It was a continual issue the Apostle Paul faught against, and one we still have to fight against today. I cannot reccommend this movie. And certainly not for any outreach purposes, as it skews the Character of God, into a humanistic God.

To say that this movie is "squeaky" clean is, to me, misleading. There are at least 3 instances of "Oh my ---"; 2 references, meant to be funny, about the length of an animal's p_____; and 1 instance of a crude slang word that we don't use in our house. I was surprised that it is being touted by Christian bookstores. Some may also find a man playing the part of God irreverent.

The story line was creative, and the way the animals were used in the film was very good.

This movie is very good and for all ages. Gary Busey stars in one of his first roles after being Born Again. He is matched with a cute pomeranian dog who is sent back to earth to try and undo the mess Archie (GB) made of his life. Great scenes of comedy and family love. I recommend it to anyone who can be touched by God's love.

This film is sort of a first, a Christian comedy, and I think that they did a good job. As in all the World Wide Pictures, the Gospel is clearly presented and the viewer is not left wondering if this is supposed to be a Christian film or not. Road to Redemption is worth having, for the laugh, and the message.
