This was a disappointment. I have read versions of this story in books that were more exciting and inspirational.

Wow talk about keeping you in the Word of God. Awesome movie for those interesting in keeping Gods law in your heart with his promises. A movie of hope life and courage. Dont look at the old and classic of the movie but the message.

It is the best christian movie ever made. I saw this movie for the first time in 1980. I have watched it at least 20 times since then. When the burden falls from pilgrim's back it will thrill your heart. A person does need to understand this movie shows the spiritual journey of Pilgrim coming to know how to be saved and to live for Christ. If this movie does not ring your bell your dinger is gone.

My family and I love the John Bunyan story but this movie was not worth watching. The quality and acting are terrible. The script deviated a lot from the book too. There's a new version in production right now. I wish I'd have been more patient. God bless you on your journey either way.

As if the book was not bad enough (hello, my name is temptation.... Temptation hu? I wounder what he represents? should I trust him? oh sure he just wants to bring me to the desert of horror, no harm their!)
Now we add animation that even for it's time was lame. I'm glad its finally on DVD so we can now see how pathetic it was in digital clarity.
I think pilgrims progress might have been the reason Tolkien and Lewis were so belligerent about not calling there own works "Allegorie"
