Some of these DVD's like Adam and Eve and Samson and Delilah you cannot really call Christian. Since when is the sun the Christian God, and since when do we receive our power from the sun. This is paganism. Why can't a series be created just from the Bible as it is?

After purchasing and watching most of the Greatest Heroes & Legends of the Bible Collection, as a Sunday School Teacher I honestly feel that from the ones I viewed thus far they are not 100% in line with the Bible. The Lord says about His Word that we are not supposed to add anything or take anything away from it. In these DVD's, there were things added and some things that were never mentioned (taken away). If we are to honestly teach the younger generation the truth and authenticity of the Bible, we cannot put in and take out things as we choose. I was very disappointed in this particular DVD set, and I don't think I will be sharing these. They don't harm me in watching them because I know the Word for myself (thank God), but I would never want to show or teach others what I see in these DVD's. I was so excited in receiving them, but that excitement was soon gone. I'm going to continue searching until I can find some Bible Heroes DVDs that portray the truth of the Bible. God commands us to take His Word seriously, so since He does how can we do any less? My comments may be seen as critical, but I always remember what the Lord says in Isaiah, that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts!

Great movies for kids to see. Even though I'm 19 years old, I love them myself.

Even though Charleton Heston does not convince me that he is a Christian in his narration on these, he does say what is true biblically and so I don't see any problem with showing these to children. The stories are not 100% accurate but pretty close and do a better job than I can narrating from memory. The music is a little lame but you know how children are, they will love it. And if the music helps them to want to keep watching, then that is ok for me. The animation is well done and the stories do touch you and so I am very happy with this whole series. My only gripe is that the movies came in like 5 shipments. There are no numbers on them and I read through my Bible to get them in the right order which is important for my inventory.

Charleton Heston's point of view on who Jesus was is atheistic and ruins the entire movie.. not recommended. (especially for children)
