To many flashy car shots and not enough history. No clear Christian perspective either.

Our whole family loves Drive Thru History DVD's. We watched these videos for homeschool history lessons. He makes it fun, funny, and very interesting to learn history. Where was he when I was in school?

Professionally done. Some of the information was slightly skewed, and it could do with out all the paganism, but besides that, fun and kid friendly. It does talk about the persecution of Christians and gladiators, but they aren't gory, and kids can handle it. A good resource.

This is one DVD of a whole series. In the first DVD, the Rome of the early Christian times is explored. Architecture, politics, racing, gladiators -this has it all. I've seen it several times, but am so glad to find it as rental, to show friends...
Can't wait for the next DVD of the series to arrive in the mail!

I did not watch this with my kids and husband but I can tell you that they absolutely loved it! The kids watched it in the backseat of our truck while on a road trip. They laughed so much that I asked them what they were watching figuring it was a cartoon rather than a Drive Thru History. They reported that is was the History show. When we got home to my husband, the kids excitedly asked him to watch it with them. It was the same senario as in the truck! These programs are fantastic, teaching history in a fun, easy to understand format. I also appreciate it is from a Christian worldview. Everything ties together so nicely. I highly recommend this series for every family to enjoy together.

This is the best Drive Through History of the series! We loved learning all of it, including my teenage son who hates school.

This series is truly the best presentation of history I've ever seen. Unlike others, which can be dry for a younger audience, this series will captivate your children (for mine it did and their ages are 12, 10, and 7.) and they will remember the material as they read their historical fiction from the same time era. It would be well worth having as part of your DVD collection.

Great show. Fast paced and funny. My kids wouldn't stop watching it. It was a wonderful overview of the history of Christianity. Some parts were not pleasant (obviously) but it very worthwhile to have kids understand the setting of many of the books of the New Testament. Best in the series that I have seen.

Good review of the history of Rome by driving to several key locations in the City. Would be good to use for introducing children to the city.
