![]() ![]() (no written review given) ![]() It was a great movie! Great for parents to watch with their teens. ![]() I am surprised at the negative reviews this movie has received. I liked it for several reasons: 1.) It starts off by showing to teens it can be to slip into an unwanted pregnancy. I believe the "Tough Choices" do not only refer to what to do when you are pregnant but also the choices that lead up to that. It contrasts a girl who says "no" and (temporarily) loses popularity with a girl who chooses the other path. Isn't that what's on the mind of many teens? 2.) The myth of "we love each other and intend to stay together and so we can...." is debunked here. The girl enters the relationship with great intentions and chooses to believe wonderful things about the guy - all of which are shattered when the pregnancy is announced. A development well worth seeing for any teenager. 3.) The end is also very good. The thought is that a teen pregnancy is an affair of the whole family. The parents support the girl and help her in her new role in life, but the statement is also made that despite all this help, the better way would have been to wait and choose the time and partner for motherhood differently. Well worth watching. ![]() This pro-life movie addresses teen pregnancy, but didn't give solutions other than choosing life. Adoption was not mentioned at all, nor was marriage. It gets a little graphic in portraying abortion. It doesn't show how hard it is to be a single parent, or how badly children who are raised this way tend to do compared to those from a home where they are loved by two parents who also love one another. Interesting story, but lacks enough substance and direction. ![]() I was a bit disappointed in this movie - it was not in line with the quality of other movies I've rented from this website. ![]() This movie gave a very honest picture of the choices and pressures young people often feel. The actors did a very good, honest job of bringing across the pain and anguish that those decisions can cause. It also gave a beautiful portrayal of the Lord's healing and forgiveness. A very well done movie!! ![]() Displaying 1 to 6 (of 6 reviews) |
