Let There Be Life

When 20-year old Nathan Burr (Bradley Dorsey) loses his career and his girlfriend, he questions his purpose in life. Compounding his struggle, Nathan grew up in a foster home and never met his birth mother. Nathan sets out on a quest to find his mother and somehow come to terms with her rejection of him. His journey begins by flying to the city where he was born. Upon his arrival, Nathan checks into a hotel and meets Mave (Della Reese) the hotel’s housekeeper. Encouraged by Mave’s wisdom and the help of a hotel guest, Shelly, (Kristen Renton) Nathan finds the address of his mother, Linda Dixon (Erika Eleniak). Linda is a social worker who agonizes over a decision she made 20 years ago. In an effort to admonish the guilt of giving up her son, Linda is caught up in the life of a teenage mother, Tori (Erin Sossoman) who is conflicted by the decision to abort her baby. When Nathan gathers the courage to meet his mother, he uncovers a terrible secret that totally redefines what was meant to be for his life.

Great movie with a message of forgiveness, hope, and what it means to stand by someone's side in desperate times of trouble and what a positive impact it can make in a person's life for the glory to God.

MikeK asked: This movie trailer looks like it shows something like a premonition or future telling (the photo scene) - almost occult? Is this the meaning of that scene? Jan 4, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (0)
Julio R: No that's not the meaning, and there's nothing occult, you really have to watch the whole movie to understand. Nathan is one of the victims of the abortion. This movie shows how easy an abortion could be the solution for an unexpected pregnancy and also that an abortion will put an end of all your worries and shames, NO! it's the biggest lie, because since the moment of the conception, there's a new life sent by God, which is meant to be born, and instead of putting an end of all your worries, you putting an end of a life and you will regret it for the rest of your life and you will have no peace. The movie also show us how all the new unborn desperately look for their parents and after they know the truth, they forgive their parents. I recommend you to get this video. God Bless! Jan 8, 2013

Beverly B: I wouldn't really call the film occult, though there are some non-realistic parts in it. It is basically pro-life and I found it very touching and very well-made. I've watched it several times since I bought it (and this is coming from someone who never took a side on women's right to choose) I have since decided I can't be anything other than pro-life. Roger Lindley: Keep in mind, also, that this film is presented as a parable, an 'as if.' The filmmakers (I am one of them) understand some elements are not theologically correct; however, the whole of the movie is intended to be entirely uplifting in its pro life message. Jan 10, 2013
