Latest Reviews for Abel's Field - DVD(no written review given) (no written review given) (no written review given) Very good film! (no written review given) (no written review given) Our family enjoyed it very much...struggles, secrets, relationships, bullying, football, choices, and redemption...it had it all, and did so without being condescending or too preachy. It starts off kind of low budgety and slow but by the end my whole family was capitived. Abel's Field - DVD Sort by: Already Asked: 2 Questions, 8 Answers
ChristianCinema.com Store asked: Why did you choose this? John H: Love Kevin Sorbo! What If was excellent and I'm hoping this is as good. Mar 10, 2013 Stan C: Saw an interview of Kevin Sorbo on Foxnews. He is a fine Christian man and he makes decent movies. Mar 4, 2013 Ernest T: Saw it on Facebook and saw the trailer and felt it would be great to share with our men's group. Mar 3, 2013 Christie asked: I'm curious to know if this movie is appropriate for most 7 year olds. It looks like there are 2 girls who are young in the film, but that doesn't mean that it's really good for young children to see. In the trailer, there was a time when the main character (who is a very awesome actor, by the way), hit the wall, because he was frustrated. Anything else I should be aware of? Thanks! Feb 10, 2013 Debra W: Abel's Field is definitely a family friendly film. The story weaves around a young man who, because of circumstances, is forced to be parent and provider while still in high school. Responsible for his twin sisters, bullied at school, and facing the prospect of being homeless, this young man struggles with life and with his faith. Abel, who's own pain is locked up tightly, is placed into Seth's life and adds more unanswered questions until a life changing decision causes both to look to God for direction. I enjoyed this film, and though the Abel character portrays a dark, troubled, person, I did not feel he was inappropriate or harmful to the message of God's healing. This is a heartwarming story and Seth is a strong talent in Christian film. Feb 11, 2013 Reply to Debra Good answer? The central story is about a high school student & his growth experience under the supervision of a broken man and how they lead eachother to wholeness, so there are questions that younger children may need help with, but it is a very good story and we will be sharing this film in our church. You can discuss the right and wrong way that the characters responded with your child and it can be a good learning tool. I thought it was an excellant film and really enjoyed it! He gets frustrated because he is a youth himself trying to deal with true life issues. I would watch it with young children and use it to teach them that sometimes life throws hard things our way but love overcomes. Feb 10, 2013 Reply to Terri Good answer? Yes (0) No (0) |
