A musical journey of praise, forgiveness and redemption

4-Star Dove Approved for ages 12+!

Featuring some of Gospel's greatest performers including: Daryl Coley, Nicoe Potts and Blanche McAllister Dykes

With a financial crisis looming, the members of a local church are faced with the very real possibility of having to put their church up for sale. With chaos surrounding the church's future, its members are plunged into spiritual doubt as well. It is up to the congregation to band together and through music and God's guidance, save the church and themselves.

REVIEW - "What a rolicking and rapturous gospel extravaganza!...McCray gives a strong performance in the film and the energy and music help carry this powerful film about redemption." - The Dove Foundation

I was disappointed with this film. I agree with the previous reviewer, because the singing was dubbed, it was hard to follow. I could only watch about 20 minutes of this film. I received the DVD on a Thursday and put it in the mail on Friday.

Church: The Movie, starring Darius McCrary (playing Daniel, just released from prison (he played Eddie, in Family Matters and is much better in the film A Good Man Is Hard to Find)), and Deidee Deionne (playing Nikki, Danielís love interest). This is a musical, but the singing appears to be largely dubbed, which causes distortion in the sound quality, which is quite off-putting. This film moves somewhat slowly, but the bad guys get their comeuppance, the unsaved become saved, and all is well. This movie was filmed in Los Angeles, so if you are from the area, you'll easily recognize various regional landmarks. Enjoy!

Susan P: My point was, why was I sent this question from Jermaine when I haven't even received or seen the movie yet? I was momentarily concerned that this message was some sort of scam or attempt to get my personal information. Thank-you, Erik, for responding to me. Have a good day. Susan Pflum Dec 5, 2011
