The young man asked me to watch this movie & so i watched with him & could not help but realize this was an answer to one of my prayers. My wife & i have been having trouble so i knew in my heart this movie was the key. The next day i didn't say anything to her i just played this movie & let God do the Rest. i am Purchasing 2 copies one for that Young Man (his birthday is today 1/17/13) & the second copy for my wife & i. Yes this movie is that Powerful! or maybe it was just the right time for us to watch, i say it was both (Romans 8:28). It covers every type of person who God touches with the invitation to become a member of the Kingdom of God. I am saved but still this movie brought me to tears! I bought several copies & gave them away. I'm sure I'll buy more copies in the future. This movie would be good for any age group, nothing in it specific for medical students, but it is thought provoking for any group. I've also purchased 'Gifted Hands' which is about a doctor & they might really identify with that one. I can't recommend it personally because I haven't seen it yet. Its been a few months since I watched it, but I can still recall the characters and message the movie was trying to convey. At first, the main character seemed "out of place" and made me feel a little uncomfortable. But as the movie continued, I began to feel myself getting a little more involved with what was going on. The main character actually started to become more convincing. He was quoting scriptures by using today's language. I'm sure this movie would be relevant to all adults, young and old alike. It's definitely a very thought provoking evangelistic movie. However, I don't think I would venture to say it would be relevant and/or targeted to any specific profession, religion, or individuals. Nick, one of the main characters, is the only one who is not saved in the end because he will not humble himself, while the other characters were all prepared to listen. We know Jesus knows everything but to see and hear Him in real life explaining every detail from our past is very interesting and makes you stop and think about your life and how you got to where you are. The acting was great BUT the Truth behind the movie is true. Jesus loves us very much and you would have got that but He wont force himself on you and I know that was in the movie. I saw my answers to my own despair in the dialogue at the cafe and prayed all night not to forget what Jesus said; that I had value and he knew my future before I was even born. Subconsciously I knew that, but hadn't consciously remembered it. God answered my prayer and I received this DVD for Christmas from my daughter, who never knew my circumstance. God does know what we need, and supplies it when we ask. I have a "lost" friend who must see this. Fantastic movie! Will watch it over and over;and share it with everyone I know. Amen! What I think would work is, as your watching the film, jot down the different subjects that come up during the film. After the film, if you just bring up these and ask what everyone felt about how the film dealt with it and what they thought about it. This should get everyone talking.
