God somethimes does give a dramatic second chance but does not erase the consequences of wrong choices. Thank God for His mercy and forgiveness and desire to restore us to His good plans for our lives. Even though it is similar to A Wonderful Life, it is not just a clone of that story. The script is so similiar that I am surprised they were not sued for plagarism. i might have been okay with that in general if, the addition of christian principles had been better presented. Instead, it seemed obvious that the Christian aspects were superficial, secular and cultural at best. I don't know about Sorbo's faith beliefs, but based upon the movie he came across as flat and seemed to phone in the role. I was unable to connect to a Christian message as I felt neither Sorbo, or any of the other actors came across in my discernment as actually having a relationship with Christ that they could share with their viewers. As a whole, I prefer family man by far despite the rating and its admitted lack of appeal to faith. If we set examples, as Christians, we hope others follow, don't we? What I am referring to is the proper way to dress and sell the "message", not the looks or bodies or revealing fashions of the actors. Dressing in a fashion that help people listen and think is to dress conservatively and not titillate the senses. That can be physically disturbing and disrupt the true meaning of what you are trying to get across! Not all films should be centered around the Song of Solomon! Feb 10, 2012 Brenda B: I believe that the BEST training foundation is at home. If that foundation is solid and built upon the Word of God, then when our children go out into the "world", their foundation will not be so easily shaken or perverted. We, as parents, whether single or not, should endeavor to do all we can to present godly values to our children to be passed on from generation to generation by our examples. Our instructions are to train them up in the reverent fear of our Heavenly Father and this does require being examples "first" and foremost ourselves. Feb 13, 2012 Reply to Brenda Good answer? Yes (0) No (0) Cheryl H: Since it has been over a year since I viewed the movie in question, I have to rely on my not so good memory about the details of the dress. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the plot that unfolded, I remember not being put off by the dress of any of the characters. I believe it would be a good example for teens. Hope this helps!
