Description:
The storm of the century brings the gift of a lifetime.
For Kathleen, (Catherine Mary Stewart) Christmas has always been an unwelcome reminder of her father's abandonment almost 30 years ago. Although she has tried to forget her past, it has not forgotten her, and in the days leading up to Christmas an unforgiving blizzard traps her in her own home with two unlikely roommates.
Sam (Muse Watson), a gentle older man Kathleen took in for the night and Lucy (Cameron ten Napel), the daughter of her soon to be fiancé (Anthony Tyler Quinn) bring her face to face with the hurts of her past. Will she be able to let go and grab hold of a life-changing forgiveness or will she continue to be haunted by the pain of the past?
A Christmas Snow - DVD – Dinah S, 09/07/2015 Loved this movie. I was very inspired by the message of loving the unlovable, not taking the time for granted you have with loved ones, forgiveness is a gift given sooner rather than later and, in this movie, Christmas really does hold miracles. It is a fictional story after all! But the actors all do a great job of portraying the worst in all of us and the way we can be forever changed by unconditional love and a dose of good old fashioned truth. Many funny scenes. Enjoy!!!
A Christmas Snow - DVD – Dinah S, 09/04/2015 I ordered this movie because I am a fan of Catherine Mary Stewart. I read though the reviews, however I decided to watch it and share my own observations and share my opinion of the movie without giving away the entire plot of the movie. I loved it. This movie was not predictable to me at all. I loved the Sam character because he was a character of sympathy, patience, sacrificial love and he shared his faith at just the right time in a very relevant way that left a character that was emotionally and mentally wounded with something to think about that will bring healing to her heart and family. The child in this movie is a character of so many wounded children who over reach with their own attitudes and actions after facing a deep loss in their young lives. I love that the director had her explain her actions and feelings. I also liked that the two characters had many parallels that open a door for them to truly understand their suffering and grow from that knowing they are not alone in their journey. The setting at Christmas time was nice too and I believe a very special surprise for the audience to enjoy. Please keep an open mind. We all share these characters quality's. Please remember this is a fictional movie that opens the eyes and drives the focus back to what the true spirit of Christmas is for many people: Family! I believe the truest lesson to take away from here is to leave the past behind and let yourself be loved and healed by love. Do not leave reconciliation behind until it is too late and let Christmas be what God wants it to be for your family.
Don't try to fit into a mold. Look for the unexpected gifts all around you and celebrate Jesus! Enjoy!

joanna h: I saw the movie on tv and was so moved by the message and importance of being able to forgive others even if they don't ask you to. IThe Bible says if we can't forgive others how can we expect our Father in Heaven to forgive us. Such a surprising ending. Beautiful, thoughtful and inspiring movie. I am getting a copy so I can share with people in my life who can't forgive their Dad.Nov 28, 2011

Sandy H:Absolutely this is suitable for young children. It is not your typical sappy faith based film. It has serious sides, and fun sides, and presents the gospel as well as the Christmas story with such clarity and accuracy. It is well acted, and deals with hard issues, of how divorce can impact kids, how unforgiveness impacts lives, and things broken families deal with, as well as the redemptive side of the hope that is offered to anyone in Christ. It has some predictable as well as unpredictable sides as well. It is not a children's movie in that the theme is serious - there are tears and pain, and there are many times of laughter and joy, but there is nothing in it that a child could not watch (it could open doors for family discussions about the reality of life for many people so it is for the whole family).Nov 19, 2011
Linda W:It is not a show for young children. Not that it is in any way have bad content because it is a great movie. It deals with attitudes and hurts from the past and it is more for teenage and adult to help them deal with things. It has to do with a 10 year old and a hurt from an adult who was hurt at 10 years old. Then you can decide who should or should not watch it. I really liked the actors in this movie and enjoyed it very much.Nov 23, 2011
Trudy B:
Thanks, Linda. that's almost the exact ages of my youngest grands. We're going to Branson, MO and there is a live performance of this playing. I thought it might be fun. Trudy

Lambertus V:Yes it is beautiful. I am Thankful that love comes from God and will give Love to us when we ask him! The writing is in 2 parts. The scene from the Bible cover. It does not show it all. The voice reading does and comes on her way to see her mother. The added words in () from the reading, not in the cover of the Bible.

DAVID T:Every year at church we launch our Advent/Christmas programme with a family movie evening. This year I bought a few, as you know & then watched them at home before deciding which to choose. Of the three feature movies i bought, I have to say A Christmas Snow was by far the best, but I chose A Christmas Wish because it was shorter, as we'd had The Twelve Days of Christmas cartoon for the kids. I hope that has been helpful. Kind regards DavidDec 9, 2013
