Latest Reviews for The Cross - DVD(View all 58 reviews)Inspiring and very moving! (no written review given) Absolutely must watch! (no written review given) (no written review given) (no written review given) (no written review given) I loved the video and considered it one of the best..until I decided to find out more information about Mr. Blessit. It discouraged me greatly. The video completely glossed over the story of his family. It was so disappointing. (no written review given) Loved it so many interesting things. ChristianCinema.com Store asked: Why did you choose this? Wayne Y: I saw it on tv and wish to show it at my church and a couple of Bible studcies Apr 14, 2013 Patricia M: I happened to turn on TV and saw Mr. Crouch interview the man in the movie and then saw Rhonda Fleming so moved by it. although I have vaguely heard of this man, I thought if she was so moved by the movie perhaps I should see it as I am in need of some inspiration in my walk with Christ. Jun 3, 2011 Patricia M asked: I am interested in maybe purchasing this film, but as a Catholic I am concerned how you represent the Catholic church. From the little article I saw about the inquisition etc.. made me think twice. I love my protestant brothers and sisters, but when they start Catholic bashing, and mistating the faith I am turned off. So I guess my question is, is this film negative towards my faith directly or indirectly? Thank you and God Bless, Pat McLean Jun 3, 2011 karen L: I do not remember anything negative being said about any sect. I remember it as being more a movie about breaking down barriers. It is really more about "doing" than about "saying" anything. He is asked a lot of questions as he travels around carrying the cross, but I think that he allows the message of the cross to speak for itself. as the Bible says, if we will not go for Christ, then the very rocks will cry out. we are invited to be part of the Great Commission to share the Gospel with all people, not because God needs us, but so that we can be part of His awesome salvation plan. The cross as a vehicle of salvation was designed to silence the Lord of creation as He intervened in history to provide a way for sinful man to reconnect to their creator. But man did not want his agenda interrupted, so He tried to silence the Word come to life in the form of Jesus of Nazareth. But what is so awesome is that God used this very vehicle of torture to bring salvation to those that chose to follow Him. This movie just shows the power of the message of the cross as a way to break down barriers and transcend differences to bring the Savior's message of peace to a world that is desperately in need of a relationship with him. Yes, I agree with everything you said, thank you for answering me also. God Bless, Patricia Mclean Jun 3, 2011 karen L:
In the End of Times we will find that there is no one denomination that has it totally right. The only thing that matters is that we all agree that we are worthless sinners in need of a Savior and that there is no way that we would ever stand before the Father in righteousness if we do not first fall at the feet of Jesus at the Cross. The rest is not important. Happy to help out a brother in Christ. God bless you as you study his Word and cling to the inspired Word of God as the World becomes more and more corrupt--even in all of our Churches. Let us know the truth directly from His Word,so that we cannot be misled by the "wolves in sheep's clothing" that Christ assured us would come professing His name.
Jun 3, 2011 Alexander vdovichenko V: I don't believe that this movie will intentionally offend or harm your faith in any way. It will more likely increase your faith in God and help enhance your view of him. It's a very touching film, and brings the true meaning of the cross out. Its all about Jesus and how he suffered for us, his people. It's not about the different denominations that we have its about our love towards Jesus, and in the end we will all be together as Gods children. Im sure you will enjoy it and I recommend that you don't doubt yourself and you won't regret it. God Bless and I hope this helped. Thank You, for getting back to me. The film from the quip I saw of it looks very good. Thank You again for answering me so quickly. Pax Christi, Patricia McLean Jun 3, 2011 Louie L: I am the director of Youth MInistry & Liturgy at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Las Vegas. We just recently used this video in our Sunday Night High School Sessions. The students not only loved this video but were also challenged to focus more an evangelization in their own lives. The video is very good at not mentioning any specific denominations of Christianity. In fact, there one story that Arthur Blessit tells about how he met the Pope. So, there is not negativity towards Catholics or any other religions in the film. It really exceeded my expectations. Thanks! Jun 3, 2011 Reply to Louie Good answer? The primary focus is the great journey of Arthur Blessitt around the world carrying the cross and the tremendous impact of seeing it in a wide range of settings. I think one of the sites he visited had numerous crosses and might have been a Catholic site. The film was inspirational and an example of great faith in Christ who bore our sins on the cross. - Pastor Glen Bayly Jun 3, 2011 Reply to Glen Good answer? Yes (0) No (0) |
