I don't know how many times I have stayed up late watching it on TBN. Enough times that I just ordered my own copy. :-). This movie shows the best of love and respect. Love of God, of mother, and between man and woman. In this day and age where romantic movies are just as likely to contain inaproprate scenes_ it is wonderful to see a powerful display of love that has nothing to do with the physical and everything to do with the spirital. Yes (0) No (0) Andrew H: It's been a while since I watched it so I don't remember it very well. I do remember it did generally follow the flow of the scriptures. Otherwise, however, the beginning was very, very slow (lots of crying) and it seemed a bit corny later on. I personally like biblical movies that maintain scriptural integrity and where the characters are believable and this one didn't quite do it for me. I probably wouldn't watch it a second time. The bad part is that most not all Christian movies lack in the acting ability but it is improving. The secular Biblical movies have good acting but are no where close to scripture most of the time. Yes (0) No (0) Gary M: I think it was a job well done, The Book of Ruth in the Bible is a very small book and there had to be some things added that were not covered in the scripture such as "How did Ruth's first husband die?". They came up with a pretty good way and that had to be added. Other than some of the obvious areas where things had to be filled in like this, it was fine. Feb 26, 2013 Reply to Gary Good answer?
