Description:
The seventh heartwarming movie in Janette Oke's Love Comes Softly saga.
Dr. Belinda Simpson (Sarah Jones) arrives in the town of Sikeston as a physician only to find many people have become ill or have died from a mystery ailment.
Still as feisty as ever, Belinda Simpson is now a doctor in a small Missouri town where an unknown plague is spreading fear and resentment among the townspeople. One local resident thinks the illness was spread from the town orphanage and wants to see it shut down. Belinda struggles to make sense of the disease and God’s plan for the beleaguered town. But with the support of Lee Owens (Jordan Bridges), the town’s handsome young blacksmith and her best friend (Haylie Duff), Belinda learns that if she can rely on faith — and love — then everything else may just fall into place.
Starring Cloris Leachman, Patrick Duffy, Lou Diamond Phillips and Haylie Duff.

Love Comes Softly Series: Complete 7-DVD Collection –
amber barron, 10/04/2009I have enjoyed each and every movie, however they do NOT follow the stories out of the books which is very disheartening! There are actually a total of nine books and ten if you want to count the one where Clark and Marty are grandparents, "The Golden Years", years down the road. I am often in awe of the way movies do not follow the books on which they are based, but I must say this movie series is very far off base. I do greatly enjoy all of these movies so much so that they have been number one on Christmas wish list for the last couple years. The inconsitencies will not keep me from completing my collection as I agree that they are excellent family movie night movies. The movies just inspired me to encourage my children to read the books for themselves to get the actual story, as I have done several times over.

Tammy Corman, 09/06/2009I purchased the first 2 movies on a whim. They were both so good that I went back to Walmart and got the 3rd. We started buying each one as soon as we saw it, rush home to watch it, and usually even rewatch 1 or 2 of the older ones the same night. This last one, Love takes Wing, we were totally lost. Who was this blonde and who had died (a brother? a husband?) Of course, as we continued to watch it all started coming back to us. But the blonde hair? we really weren't even sure who she was supposed to be. It actually took us 2 nights to watch this one.. very disappointed, but it was still a good movie. We don't regret buying it, but I wish they had thought more about what the followers of the series would think. Why wasn't Missy in this one more, and her father? Why does every woman in the series have to have thier husband die? There really needed to be more explanations given to tie it to the other 6 movies.
We still love the series, and still recommend them to all our friends (and the cashier at Walmart). Hope if there is an 8th one it will fall back in line with the first 6. {cant wait}

Sophie Boucher, 08/21/2009I loved the whole serie, just awesome. Very uplifting.
It would be awesome however if there would be a French translation. That way I could share them with my family and friends in Quebec. A friend of mine just became a widow with 2 young daughters this year, and she would love the series, however she does not speak of word of English.
Also noticed that the package sold is advertised as 7 movies, when we click on the link only six are shown. Also, I heard there is another one after these: Love Finds Home. So there ar 8 of them made. (can't wait to see the last one) I would love to buy the whole series, just would be nice to have all movies in it.
Thanks

Sheilagh Nowacki, 07/21/2009The first six movies in the series were enjoyable, especially since there was at least some continuity of characters. This 7th one is like a completely different story. Belinda is blond (!!), Drew is gone, and the whole story plot is a bit contrived. I was very disappointed in this latest DVD.

Debra Rebstock, 05/17/2009I realize that the character of Belinda has changed and Drew apparently passed away but I still love this series. My husband, son, and myself can't wait until the next one. We watch it as a family unit and have cried at least once during each movie. I've read every book in the "Love Comes Softly" series and I really hope that they continue making the movies for the entire series. They all get an A+ from us!

Sharon Rast, 05/09/2009My husband and I just received and viewed Love Takes Wing. I must say, we were very
disappointed in the complete change from the series. Belinda is now a blonde and her
husband Drew is dead with no explanation of what happened and the news is given in
bits and pieces as the story progresses. We questioned if we had missed a segment
of the series but, no, it was just done this way and really a downer. What the story was
about was interesting but really did not blend in with the rest of the series. This was not
well thought out as to how it would impact the viewers.

lina alam, 05/05/2009I think the Love comes soflry series started off so spiritually well but now its leaning towards more wordly emotions. I live in Australia and the only bad thing about ordering this series or ever taking advantage of the discounted items is that they are never Region 4 abut always Region 1.Which I presume its American region?
So we have to wait til they show them on normal T.V. which usually takes years!!!
Its a pity that I can't order more movies like the above mentioned from you guys cause christian cinema.com does provide the best family and christain oriented films in the world....

JUDY fisher, 04/01/2009I agree! They are changing Director's.Why would They change Belinda's looks so much? Plus is Missy left out of this along with Her Dad who is the only character who has stayed the same from the beginning? I will reserve My opinion until I see it but changing all the actors takes away from the series?

Christine Packard, 03/06/2009Whoa! Dr, Belinda Simpson...with love in the air? Don't tell me that Drew died! I really enjoy the Love Series, but three generations of main characters all becoming widows at such an early age would be absolutely ridiculous. I mean, when Willie died, I was extremely surprised and a bit disappointed, but after a while I comforted myself with Zach and moved on, consoling myself with my opinion that Zach matched the older Missy much better. When Love's Unfolding Dream came out, I really liked it and thought that the story had good continuity from Love's Unending Legacy. I liked the new romance and I liked Drew and Belinda as a match. I was expecting a change of older actors for Drew and perhaps Belinda, since medical school takes many years to complete. Something that I did not expect, however, was that Drew would be completely cut out from the story!!! And now that I'm looking at the cover, is Belinda's hair...blonde???? Come on, Belinda was a brunette! Please somebody tell me that I have this all wrong and that I'm totally misunderstanding everything. I really don't want this to be the near end to a great series!
