A modern adaptation of the Conversion of Paul.Sara is at he top of her game. She has the chance to be chosen for an elite summer tennis program, but her hopes are dashed unexpectedly by the on person no one likes--Colton. Colton is at the bottom of life, constantly leading others away, hurting people, giving no one respect, and making fun of other teens for not doing what he does. But then his parents pray for some intervention in his life. When he's partying one night, Colton ends up in a car wreck with Sara, and goes through an experience that changes him. But facing life after you've done everything wrong can sometimes be the hardest step, and Colton must find a way to prove to everyone--especially to Sara--that he's changed.

The acting in some characters was disappointing and the story drags in some places, but overall it is a good clean film for teens. It isn't too "churchy" and the message is quite watered down and generalized, which may be best for its intended audience. Living in Utah I had seen the Mormon version "Turnaround" in stores and thought the cover looked familiar! There are only slight differences between the two versions (changing 'bishop' to 'pastor', 'scriptures' to 'bible' etc) and the story is more true to the Book of Mormon conversion of Alma the Younger than to Paul's conversion, but it works either way and Christians who are unfamiliar with Mormonism are unlikely to notice.
Overall a good clean family/teen film about repentance and forgiveness.

Overcome is another film from WisenQuest, which produces two versions of films: One for the Christian audience and one for the Mormon audience. The Mormon version is titled Turn Around, and makes Mormon specific references three or four times; while in the Christian version, those references have been changed to Christian ones. WisenQuest has also produced similar Christian/Mormon versions of Belle and the Beast, with the full title of the Christian version being Belle and the Beast: A Christian Romance, while the Mormon version is titled Belle and the Beast: A Latter-Day Tale. Again, the difference between the two films is very slight, with only a few Christian/Mormon specific differences being noted. Overcome is highly recommended, as is Belle and the Beast: A Christian Romance. If you want a great double-feature viewing experience, get both Overcome and Belle and the Beast: A Christian Romance, which will provide you with two wonderful, clean, family-friendly films, on a long holiday weekend. Enjoy!

I do really like this movie but I don't like that it was originally titled Turn Around and that the actors' and director's names were changed when the movies name was changed (not the characters, the actors and the director.) So it was originally a Morom film, so what. The story traslates nicely. They didn't have to insult me by playing the switch a roo! Still giving it four stars. Do want Chistian Cinema to carry the other version for honesty reasons. Christian Cinema nees to start offering streaming, everybody request it!

I liked it. I understand why some think its not Bibible enough, since it was orginally released as Turn Around in 2007 and based on the Mormon story of Alma the Younger and advertised as such. I wonder if any editing happened for this release or if the title was just changed. Regardless the story of overcoming your past is one that all of us can benefit from.

A good movie for the kids. Not enough focus on God but it's wholesome family entertainment.

This was a great family movie, especially if you have teenagers. The message is powerful and very thought provoking. I would highly recommend this movie. The acting was good and the quality was good.

I watched this movie with my two teenage sons (one being a minister himself) and they both said they could relate to the characters cause they know what it is like having their so called friends make fun of them when they find out they are a Christian and what it feels like to mess up and not being able to get over being upset with yourself. I think every family should see this movie together cause it will start a great discussion especially among pre-teens and teens and you would be surprised what they have to say if only people would listen to them. They go through more in life then we adults ever did at their age--so don't be so quick to judge, just listen and constantly pray for the youth in our world. This is a must have for your movie collection--we are even going to do a movie night at our church and show it to the youth there.
