It is a great DVD and I highly recommend it. This documentary is somewhat dated as it was created in the 80s however it illustrates how popular musicis being used to attack Christian values, mock Jesus and corrupt our children. It quotes many Bible verses that relate to each topic and is very thourough in it's research. Some of the video clips will be too disturbing for children so I recommend only teenagers and above. This DVD made me realize how Christianity is always being attacked one way or another. This will definitley open your eyes to the spiritual war that is waging around us.

Joseph G: I saw this a long time ago. As I recall it was pretty good, however, it was pretty dated by today's standards (especially for a group of youths). I think it was made back in the 1980s.The same folks made an updated version called Hell's Bells 2 (it's not necessary to have seen the first as this is really just an expanded version) that covers the history of Rock and Roll and goes much closer to current times (I think up to within the past decade). I remember it better and was very impressed. I was amazed by the high level or research that clearly went into it. I believe it does a good job of showing how popular culture has roots in ideas very different from Christianity and contrasting it with scriptures. The only downside is that they are quite lengthy (but divided into sections). That wasn't a problem for me, but might challenge those with shorter attention spans or less interest in the the topic. By the way, the same people produced another DVD that is more current specifically focusing on Rap music called "All Rapped Up" which I have not seen. May 23, 2011

Gunther D: It's a great tool indeed as an eye opener. It builds up nicely and uses some humour in the "introduction phase" to grab the peoples attention and make them keep an open mind. I've been infused with this kind of music myself for a few decades so it's very shocking to see that there was an hidden agenda to the music that responded so well to my feelings. It's mainly about heavier forms of rock music, but it shows cleasly that the principles behind the music apply to the other popular music styles as well. For modern pop music, I recomend part II as an addition to the first Hells Bells, but I wouldn't skip it. People need to know that the manipulation of their feelings through music is real and on purpose to serve a hidden Satanic agenda. Once I became a Christian, the Lord cleaned up my musical habits. In fact, the music I used to swallow day and night now brings me close to wanting to puke. It's an addiction. May 24, 2011

Jerry S: I have used the DVD with a youth group and my 12th grade Bible classes in the Christian school in which I teach. You're warned up front that some of the images are a bit 'rough', but it's straight off MTV. It has been well-edited. It provoked some excellent conversations in both venues. I purchased the newest version. I had the older one, which was put together in the 80s, but today's teens wouldn't recognize many of the groups. May 24, 2011

Terry H: Yes definitely!!! Jesus said that they shall know the truth and the truth shall make them free. Either that is truth or it is not and I happen to be one of the people in this world that happens to believe the words that He spoke, ALL OF THEM. May 24, 2011
