Hidden Secrets - DVD – Donnalynn Sprague, 11/23/2009I am such a David White, Brad Heller & Kevin Downes fan that I had to see this movie (even if Kevin wasn't in it) but I have to say I wasn't totally sold I would enjoy it beyond seeing David and Brad in the movie and oh, John Schneider too.
But oh wow, I was fully engaged in each character. The movie flowed, was believable, even though one or two characters I "thought" they went overboard with, but in the end it was all artfully tied together and totally redeemed.
I personally laughed out loud, cried and was so sad to see the movie end. It was very enjoyable, but more importantly, it helps set our personal relationship with Jesus straight!
This movie is up there as a favorite. Hidden Secrets - DVD – RICHARD HARRIS, 10/20/2009We enjoyed this movie. It showed that we are all sinners and need to show love and grace to people and not judgement. It also showed the need to forgive. It was a real example of witnessing to others that don't know Christ. We all fail as Christians and need God's forgiveness and grace. This was a really good movie. It was entertaining and also was convicting. Hidden Secrets - DVD – Allan Treml, 10/17/2009I loved this movie. After being so dissapointed by so much violence in other so-called Christian movies, this was such a relief. I especially liked how all these characters of varying belief systems came together and grew to understand God's message. The title made it sound like something I wanted to avoid but please don't let that stop you.
I now own around 8 David White movies and have varying opinions of them. This one (Hidden Secrets) and "End Of The Harvest" were my favorites by far even though "End Of The Harvest" is low budget, the message is wonderful. "Second Glance" is also low budget but the story was ok. "The Moment After 1" had too many inaccuracies for me so I did not enjoy that. Six and Mercy Streets were ok but too violent for children and to me, if a child shouldn't see it, then why should anybody? Even though David was never a Christian throughout Six, the movie had some redeeming quality but I didn't find any in Mercy Streets, too many unanswered questions. I liked David's first movie Geronimo, even though he had only a small part in it.
I recommend this movie highly. I wish more movie directors did not feel they need to add unnecessary violence in order to sell their movie. Hidden Secrets - DVD – Martin Jackson, 09/29/2009Wasn't sure if I was going to get into this movie as it started but I love the way it came together towards the end. Powerful message of acceptance & forgiveness with some humor thrown in. Appreciated this message that all of us need to hear and take to heart. Hidden Secrets - DVD – Cami Warren, 09/13/2009From a Christian standpoint, the movie was simply excellent, "preaching" the Biblical themes of not being judgmental, being forgiving, and loving unconditionally. It was comical along the way, but ultimately drove home the very serious lesson that sin costs and causes a lot of pain, but with God there is healing. Although there are some hard topics - abortion and homosexuality, to name a couple - they are dealt with tactfully and this allows the movie to be appropriate for the whole family. Hidden Secrets - DVD – Joyce Leonard, 07/02/2009Really liked this movie. Good acting, and dealt with problems adults have when dealing with their pasts. Highly recommnded. Hidden Secrets - DVD – Debbie Goodwill, 06/24/2009We really enjoyed watching this movie. They cover many diferent topics that we as Christians deal with. Couldn't wait to see how John Schnieder"s character was going to respond to the legalistic, self- righteous woman....she is something else.....haha! I think this is a good show for teens and adult. Hidden Secrets - DVD – Jene't Hagood, 05/21/2009I reallly like this movie. I have watched it several times. All of my family enjoys the movie as well. Very well done and you can relate to just about everyone in the movie. Great example of God's Love and Mercy for all of us! I HIGHLY recommend Hidden Secrets! Hidden Secrets - DVD – Kevin Frisby, 05/01/2009One of the best Christian films ever and David White's character is great. I enjoyed the subject matter of the film because so many of the topics in this film are almost considered as "taboos" to some people and should never be discussed! I, on the other hand, disagree! I do believe that these topics should be discussed because so many people (Including Christians) go through them! Thumbs up to a fantastic film with emotional and funny moments. Plus, John Schneider's character is awesome!
