Learn about The Miracles of Jesus in this release in the Greatest Heroes and Legends of the Bible series
For more than 40 years, Charlton Heston has been captivating audiences with his thrilling portrayals of Biblical Heroes such as Moses, in The Ten Commandments. Now, sit back and relax as he shares with you and your family his passion for Biblical literature and his unique insights into these timeless stories of faith.
The Miracles Of Jesus
The Bible is filled with stories of God's miracles. But the miracles performed by Jesus have a special significance: they reveal His divinity and suggest that those who come to God through Christ will themselves be miraculously transformed. Now, with this beautifully animated film, you and your family can revel in the wonder of these miracles.
The miracles of Jesus begin with the appearance of John the Baptist. "I will baptize you with water," he tells the people. "But the one who follows me is far greater...He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!"
John's words initially mystify the people to whom he speaks. But when Jesus begins to preach, they sit up and take notice. And when the young carpenter from Nazareth performs a string of miracles-the healing of the sick...the transformation of water into wine...and the multiplying of fishes, to name just a few-the true meaning of John's statement becomes clear.

Some of these DVD's like Adam and Eve and Samson and Delilah you cannot really call Christian. Since when is the sun the Christian God, and since when do we receive our power from the sun. This is paganism. Why can't a series be created just from the Bible as it is?

After purchasing and watching most of the Greatest Heroes & Legends of the Bible Collection, as a Sunday School Teacher I honestly feel that from the ones I viewed thus far they are not 100% in line with the Bible. The Lord says about His Word that we are not supposed to add anything or take anything away from it. In these DVD's, there were things added and some things that were never mentioned (taken away). If we are to honestly teach the younger generation the truth and authenticity of the Bible, we cannot put in and take out things as we choose. I was very disappointed in this particular DVD set, and I don't think I will be sharing these. They don't harm me in watching them because I know the Word for myself (thank God), but I would never want to show or teach others what I see in these DVD's. I was so excited in receiving them, but that excitement was soon gone. I'm going to continue searching until I can find some Bible Heroes DVDs that portray the truth of the Bible. God commands us to take His Word seriously, so since He does how can we do any less? My comments may be seen as critical, but I always remember what the Lord says in Isaiah, that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts!

Great movies for kids to see. Even though I'm 19 years old, I love them myself.

Even though Charleton Heston does not convince me that he is a Christian in his narration on these, he does say what is true biblically and so I don't see any problem with showing these to children. The stories are not 100% accurate but pretty close and do a better job than I can narrating from memory. The music is a little lame but you know how children are, they will love it. And if the music helps them to want to keep watching, then that is ok for me. The animation is well done and the stories do touch you and so I am very happy with this whole series. My only gripe is that the movies came in like 5 shipments. There are no numbers on them and I read through my Bible to get them in the right order which is important for my inventory.

Charleton Heston's point of view on who Jesus was is atheistic and ruins the entire movie.. not recommended. (especially for children)

A shopper asked: Is this an attention grabbing movie for young children? Jan 19, 2012
Richard B: It is hosted by Charlton Heston and he talks for quite a while before the movie begins. You cannot fast forward this part which is boring for the children. The movie is ok but is not an attention grabber. At lease one of the miracles does not go along with the bible. It is close. I think the Veggie Tales Heroes of the Bible is much better for children. It was very cute. Jan 24, 2012
Yu Jin J: I bought and showed this to my 3rd grade students at CCD last year. I am not sure about what you mean by young but for me it worked great. All of them really enjoyed this. The DVD itself covered appx. 7~8 stories of Jesus, which is fine. Jan 19, 2012
Kimberly P: Yes, I really enjoy it. It is not boring for kids at all either. They will actually understand the miracles Jesus did. I highly recommend this. Jan 20, 2012
