Tyler Doherty (Tanner Maguire) is an extraordinary eight-year-old boy. Surrounded by a loving family and community, and armed with the courage of his faith, he faces his daily battle against cancer with bravery and grace. To Tyler, God is a friend, a teacher and the ultimate pen pal—Tyler's prayers take the form of letters, which he composes and mails on a daily basis.
The letters find their way into the hands of Brady McDaniels (Jeffrey S.S. Johnson), a beleaguered postman standing at a crossroads in his life. At first, he is confused and conflicted over what to do with the letters. Over time he begins to form a friendship with the Doherty family – getting to know not just Tyler but his tough, tender yet overwhelmed mom (Robyn Lively), stalwart grandmother (Maree Cheatham) and teen brother Ben (Michael Christopher Bolten) -- who are each trying to stand strong against the doubts that come with the chaotic turn their lives have taken.
Moved by Tyler's courage, Brady realizes what he must do with the letters, a surprise decision that will transform his heart and uplift his newfound friends and community –in an exhilarating act of testament to the contagious effect of one boy's unwavering faith against the odds.
Inspired by a true story, Letters to God is an intimate, moving and often funny story about the galvanizing effect one child's belief can have on his family, friends and community.

Evan W asked:Is this a good movie to play in an evangelism event for non-believers?Nov 23, 2010
Sandra H:Evan - I would LOVE to answer your question about this DVD, but I am unable to as our parcel only arrived YESTERDAY! We were very disappointed with the time it took for the package to come... I know we're in Canada, but we get US things usually within 2 weeks. The entire order was originally held back until Oct. 25th for 1 or 2 back ordered items (I did not know about this until after it finally shipped). It then took almost a month to get here by US Postal service (yikes!). I spoke to someone about this and they couldn't really help me. I LOVE your web site and all that you have available, but with a nightmare like the shipping end, we are reluctant to even use your service again. We missed out on showing the film for our Nov. 20th event, so that was very disappointing. Please don't post this as we feel it is something that Christian Cinema needs to improve on. Any way, we will be viewing the movie this week and will let you know what we think. We're really looking forward to viewing all of the movies!Nov 23, 2010
Jeary F:Letters to God is inspirational as it demonstrates strength and hope in the face of life's challenges; I beleive that it is best suited for encourging beleivers struggleing with life's difficult situations; however, if it is shown to non-beleivers who are also suffering similar challenges then I believe there may be an opportunity to introduce Christ into their situation but it will take a seasoned facilitator to sumarize the movie and appropriately interject God's word to lead them to Christ.Nov 24, 2010
Denelda G:Absolutely, it is from a child's perspective. The movie is very touching & real life. I believe anyone who sees it will know that their definitely is a God who cares for us & loves us. It also makes people realize that tragedy can strike at anytime to them or their loved ones. It reminds them to think about where they will spend eternity.Nov 24, 2010
Vicky A:Yes, I believe it is a good movie for non-believers because it teaches a fundamental concept of Christianity which is faith - no matter your circumstance. Not just any kind of faith but a child like faith which we all need in order to gain the Kingdom.Nov 25, 2010
Doc r:We show Christian video's every sunday afternoon at the local county jail. This one was one of the more popular ones we have shown. very powerful message to both the believers and the lost!
