She has never heard about Christians suffering for their faith in Christ. But when she travels to China for the first time with her dad, a photojournalist, Abbey quickly becomes caught up in a plot that involves her new Christian friends, a mysterious secret agent, “illegal” Bibles, and the police! Desperate to undo the mess she inadvertently causes, Abbey finds herself on a daring mission and in the process mourns her own simplistic understanding. She vows to carry the message of the persecuted church to Christians back in America. A young chinese girl begins seeking the Lord and learns the truth about what is going on in her own country and what happened within her own family. This film shows the persecution of Christians in China that is happening even today, and although well crafted, is not easy to watch. This film shows the cost of following Christ is life. Samir Majan, a young man born and raised a Muslim in the Middle East attends college in America. After receiving a degree from a university in Chicago, he begins his trip back home to see his family. But something has drastically changed in the young man’s life since coming to the States. As his welcoming committee awaits his arrival, the young man is overcome by fear. Samir knows trouble and persecution lie ahead because he has done the unthinkable. Samir has become a Christian. This is a story of a young man's choice...a father's pain...and a family torn apart. This dramatization set in the Middle East is based on real-life situations where believers face persecution, loneliness and even death when their own families reject them for choosing Jesus. What is a moral person to do in a time of savage immorality? That question tormented Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German clergyman of great distinction who actively opposed Hitler and the Nazis. His convictions cost him his life. The Nazis hanged him on April 9, 1945, less than a month before the end of the war. Bonhoeffer's last years, his participation in the German resistance and his moral struggle are dramatized in this film. More than just a biographical portrait, Bonhoeffer: Agent of Grace sheds light on the little-known efforts of the German resistance. It brings to a wide audience the heroic rebellion of Bonhoeffer, a highly regarded Lutheran minister who could have kept his peace and saved his life on several occasions but instead paid the ultimate price for his beliefs. The true story of Sung Neng Yee, now known as Nora "Lamb", who escaped from Communist China to Hong Kong some thirty years ago and now lives in the United States. Her childhood faith became real as she suffered under Communist persecution. She refused to deny Christ even while enduring physical abuse late in her pregnancy. A gripping story of love, struggle and flight to freedom. Twelve-year-old Stephen is mocked and ridiculed for his faith. But that test leads to a new understanding and inner strength that changes his life. It’s tough for a twelve-year-old to be rejected and scorned by his peers. It devastates young Stephen. He shares this humiliation with his parents at home. That night Stephen takes a faith-building journey during a dream. He travels through history meeting Jesus, Stephen the martyr, families about to enter the Roman coliseum, William Tyndale, Christian children in today’s Middle East, and others who dare to share their faith. Young Stephen's view of the kingdom and his definition of "Christian" are revolutionized. He awakens and goes back to witness to his world, his trial of faith strengthened by the Body of Christ. Stephen’s Test of Faith is an inspiring challenge to all ages, a powerful tool for Sunday schools, the unsaved, classrooms, your home. This walk with faithful heroes encourages us with their historical call to continue following Jesus Christ when we are put to “the test.” Customer Testimonials: "A new service for us that we will certainly consider using again in the very near future." - Christ Community Church Church Stories of the Persecuted Church DVD Details:
