| by Angela Walker What do Obama, McCain, Fred Willard and John Schneider have in common? All are featured in "Holyman Undercover," a new comedy project directed by David A.R. White (The Moment After, Hidden Secrets, Mercy Streets). In a recent interview, White said, "I found that I was missing the audience you have in sitcom television and I always wanted to do a one-man comedy show. So I started writing about my life and found that I wanted it to grow more entertaining. I exaggerated and embellished the stories and found them becoming more and more funny." "Holyman Undercover" is the name of a comedy show White performed around the country, then adapted for a feature film. Playing a studio head is veteran comic actor Fred Willard, who played the first "live" human ever in this year's Pixar release Wall-E. John Schneider, who had a starring role in Hidden Secrets with White, has a comic turn as the devil. How do Obama and McCain fit in? Until the film comes out, it won't be possible to tell completely, but watch the clip on YouTube and you can get an idea. ©2008 ChristianCinema.com |
