Phil Vischer's "Galaxy Buck" Has A Dream (And A Trailer!)

Phil Vischer, creator of Veggietales, unveiled the trailer for his brand new narrative video tale, Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9. Vischer's first tale in almost a decade, the film will feature Vischer's characters from the bestselling video series Buck Denver Asks...What's In The Bible?

Buck Denver, an employee of The Galactic Mission Board, sends explorers to "boldly go where no man has gone before, like Miles from Tomorrowland. These travelers are tasked with sharing the love of God with everyone, including those in the far corners of the universe. When Buck and his friends find themselves in the midst of an unexpected and important mission, they learn valuable lessons about their purpose in God's big plan.

Fans of Vischer's previous work on Veggietales will enjoy his innovative animation featuring miniature sets primarily hand-carved by Vischer himself but the message has always been the main thing. "The purpose of Galaxy Buck is to teach kids what walking with Jesus actually looks like," said Vischer. "'What's In The Bible?' taught the tenets of our faith, now we're going to show kids faith in action."

Galaxy Buck will combine CGI animation, stop-motion sets that add an extra dimension of realism, and live-action for a visually captivating experience for viewers. Produced by Vischer's Jellyfish Labs in a partnership with Creative Trust, the film will be simulcast on September 17, and then debut via streaming and DVD ion October 20.
