“Unconditional,” which is written and directed by Brent McCorkle, tells the story of a celebrated storybook artist Samantha Crawford (Collins) who had almost everything in life until she lost her husband in a tragic accident, causing her to lose her faith and the will to live. She has been obsessed in finding her husband’s murderer and a near-death experience with her two children leads her to meet an old friend, Joe Bradford (Ealy).

Bradford, known as “Papa Joe” for serving the fatherless children in the community where he lives, is slowly dying of a kidney disease. Sam begins to find new purpose when she sees Bradford’s tireless love to the fatherless children. But when evidence indicates Billy’s killer is too close for comfort, Sam’s fragile new found hope is severely tested. When Sam comes face-to-face with a decision that will shape the rest of her life, she begins to realize that no matter the circumstances, God’s love is always reaching out to us.
