After the success of their other Family Movie Nights, Wal-Mart and Proctor & Gamble have again teamed up to bring an original made-for-television movie to homes around the country. A Walk in My Shoes stars Trish Fahey, Philip Winchester and Yara Martinez.
The plot is not entirely original, a woman has an accident and when she wakes up, she has assumed the life of someone else, but it's always an interesting premise to ask yourself what you would do if your life were different - if you had a different family, lived in a different place, had a different job.
In this case, it's a teacher stepping into the shoes of a mother that she thinks is not raising her son properly. Perhaps stepping into the mother's shoes will give her a greater understanding of what the mother is facing.
Moms 4 Family TV, a group working to improve what is offered on television for family viewing, is sponsoring an essay contest that will earn the winner a $500 scholarship. Details can be found here on their website.
"But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law." - Galatians 5:22-23
