Australian singing sensation Rebecca St. James just wrapped location work on her latest film project Rising Stars, in which she plays the role of a harried celebrity "personal assistant," whose life includes demanding clients, deadline headaches and fashionable glasses. In a recent Twitter post, St. James told her followers, "With my glasses on in the film, I'm told I bear an uncanny resemblance to Tina Fey."
Rising Stars is being filmed in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area and is described as a combination of High School Musical and American Idol. The creator of Rising Stars, Daniel Millican, recently completed another film centered around music. The Imposter, his behind-the-scenes look at the Christian music industry, stars Kevin Max, Jeff Deyo and Kerry Livgren. News on the release of The Imposter will be forthcoming.
