After 64 episodes and 3 Seasons, 7th Street Theater will cease production and the series will come to an end.
This five year project began shooting in November 2004 and as of this writing, we only have 4 days of production left to finish Season 3. Season 3 will have 20 episodes and is scheduled to begin airing next year. Season Two (and Season One) are currently airing on the 7th Street Theater Family of Networks with the dvds for Season Two scheduled for release later this year.
To remember the series and honor the people who have worked on it, I have secured a retail space on 4th avenue in historic downtown Hendersonville, North Carolina and will be have a Museum and retail outlet for the series, as well as an office for our website, ChristianFilms.com. This space is located 15 minutes south of the Studio in Arden, NC where 7th Street Theater is produced. The Museum for the series will feature most of the sets in the show, props use, some clothing worn, and many other items associated with the series.
After prayerful thought and taking a look at everything involved in producing this show, I decided to end the series. One by one it has been a series of sad (but joyful) goodbyes as we finish shooting with each actor. We did do what I feel is a special ending for the series and so I hope you'll stay tuned and watch all the way to catch episode #64 when it airs next year.
AND...if you are ever in the western North Carolina area, please make it a point to stop by and visit our museum we're putting together to remember the series and also keep the message of Christ going through it. The Museum will be located at 135 4th Avenue West in downtown Hendersonville. This town is located 20 miles south of Asheville NC and is about 45 miles north of Greenville and Spartanburg, SC. The Museum is being planned to open later this year.
