Hi *|TITLE:FNAME|*,
When you watch a film do you wonder where the idea came from and how long it took the writer to create the plot?
Last week I was driving to a friend's home minding my own business when I noticed the car in front of me had a foot sticking out of the trunk. A bare human foot, probably size 8 or 10.
Immediately my imagination went into overdrive. Why was a foot sticking out of the trunk? It's October; maybe someone is playing a Halloween prank? On the other hand, maybe the driver killed someone and was hiding the body. Maybe it was a kidnapping?
By the time I quit following the car, I had five or six brilliant scenarios that would make wonderful films.
Keep your eyes open because you never know where the next good idea will come from. And if you think there really is a dead body in a car in front of you, you should probably call the police!

Dandy-like and dandified is how Charles Marshall describes himself the day we talk. He's not dandelion-like, because that's two levels above, where you're almost insane, at least by his rating system. He's feeling pretty good about life and before a minute has passed, he's making cracks about the time of day, as well as Fresno, California.
You offer corporate communication and entertainment in addition to stand-up comedy. Which came first, or did they evolve at the same time?
Charles: I started doing stand-up comedy in churches. I'm kind of an exception. I meet a lot of Christian comedians who got started in the clubs, then they had a conversion experience, or were led by the Lord, to start working in churches. I was doing music in churches then started having trouble with my voice...

Josh and Jeremiah began making movies together when they were kids. Using a relative’s borrowed VHS video camera, the two brothers made their first film, a remake of Back to the Future, at the ages of 11 and 8 respectively. What started as a fun way to spend their summer breaks eventually developed into a passion for telling stories and creating films that take audiences on adventures. Dangerous Calling is their first feature film, though the brothers have directed 20+ short films over the years.
Josh has a Computer Science degree from Georgia Tech and currently lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Becca, and their soon to be 1 year old, Grant. Jeremiah has a Film degree from Georgia State and currently lives in Burbank, CA, where he is living the dream.

The truth of the gospel never changes. But Christianity has many faces. They reflect the customs and cultures and the beautiful diversity of the global church. They are lined with the wisdom of age and vibrant with the passion of youth. One gospel for all the world…but how will we deliver it in a way that reaches the whole world? How will we reach the next generation?

Synopsis:
"Mercy Streets," an urban drama pitting brother against brother, one an ex-con, recently released from prison, running from his past; the other, a sincere yet uninspired young minister struggling with his faith. Brothers connected by blood, separated by hate, reunited by crime, and forever bonded by love.
Dove Worldview:
“Mercy Streets” has all the suspense and hard-hitting action you would expect from any urban flick, with a couple of significant exceptions: no profanity; no adultery or fornication; no gratuitous violence; and a strong message of redemption, forgiveness and reconciliation. How did this happen you may ask? A group of talented, dedicated Christian filmmakers got together and produced a top notch movie in the genre of Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Capra or Horton Foote. They found a way to stimulate and even excite the audience without using the usual cheap tricks employed by most lazy Hollywood filmmakers. In "Mercy Streets," might does not make right. In fact, the strength of this film is in its clear message that there are Godly requisites for true conflict resolution, and what's more, they work to everyone's advantage.

A story of redemption and forgiveness.
It's a classic tale of deception and double cross when a deal goes bad between a ruthless criminal, Rome (Eric Roberts) and his partner John (David A. R. White), who skips town with the bait money from their scam. John seeks out the help of his estranged twin brother Jeremiah (also David White), an aspiring pastor. But he arrives to find Rome mistakenly dragging his Jeremiah away, thinking it was him.
Now the preacher and the con man are thrust into each other's lives, and while Jeremiah is forced to help Rome pull off a million dollar scam, John eases into the world of the church man, and starts finding ways to make a profit. But Jeremiah escapes from Rome, and soon finds himself face to face with his estranged brother.
In the end, only one will emerge to settle the ultimate score with Rome.

Henry Poole Is Here (Family Edited Version) - DVD
by Lesli Hutchins
"I strongly encourage you to check out this new version of this film if you missed it the first time around. I absolutely loved this movie! It was such a great story about a real life guy who was struggling with his faith and accepting it. This is something that I've been struggling with myself for the past couple of years. It was such an encouragement to see this played out. And it's really cool that I've found a site, http://www.henrypoolebelieves.com. Right now it looks like they are giving away 10 copies of the movie for free. If you haven't seen the movie yet, or even if you have, you could always give it to a friend, but it's definitely worth checking out! PERFECT film for a FAMILY movie night!"

A Man Called Peter - DVD
by Patrick Whalen
"Although this movie was made in the 1950's, the message is poignantly relevant to our political landscape today. Beyond politics, there is much to be learned from the dramatic conversion and subsequent dedication of Peter Marshal. This movie left me with hope for real change and the eternal truths of God's grace, word and power."

Saving Sarah Cain - DVD
by Martha Thiemann
"I saw this movie for the first time today, and it was lovely. The music was very nice, and it was very interesting to think about two worlds--the urban and the Amish--colliding. The outcome makes you think alot about the difference between a world based on God and a world with God in it but not of it. "
