Hi *|TITLE:FNAME|*,
Have you ever seen someone you recognized but just couldn't place? You know that you know them, but you can't remember how? That happened to me last night.
I attended a meeting of the Biola Studio Task Force, a Christian film industry networking group. When I first walked in, a woman nearby caught my attention. I recognized her, but couldn't place who she was or how I knew her.
When we sat down to eat, I saw her name tag. It was Sheri Rose Shepherd, a nationally known speaker and author who's spoken at some local conferences I attended. Then her husband mentioned that we met last April at the annual Biola Media Conference.
We all realized we had met before, but just couldn't recall names and faces immediately. Sometimes in situations like that, I'm tempted to bluff my way until I can figure out what the connection is.
But I don't want to "fake it until I make it." If I can't remember, I'll just say so. So if you see me and I should remember your name but don't, please don't take it personally. I won't be offended if you can't remember mine
From the screening room,
Angela Walker

Tracy Trost built a career shooting videos for other people. Simultaneously he was building a business that now allows him the freedom to follow a dream: directing a motion picture. Challenged by his employees to do something about his dream, Tracy spent vacation time writing his script, called on favors from friends, and created a unique film called Find Me about a new mania sweeping the country: geocaching.
What was the jumping-off point to make a feature film?
Tracy: In our business, we do weekly book meetings, and the sole purpose of these is to get a unified vision within the company so we're all thinking along the same lines. I focus on Romans 12:2 "Be not conformed to this world, but be renewed by the transforming of your mind." I don't want to call my group employees, because they're more like partners in business. But if I can help my people be thinking in the right direction, we can all be working in the same direction, doing the same thing in the business.
One of the books we were going through asked the question

Grammy® award winner Marvin Winans is a singer, songwriter, organist, pianist, preacher/pastor and actor. When Pastor Winans was invited to audition for Tyler Perry's latest film I Can Do Bad All By Myself, he was flattered and shocked, but ready to help his friend out. Of his preaching scene, Tyler Perry said that it was so anointed he chose not to cut anything from it, but to include it in its entirety in the finished film. I spoke with Pastor Winans about the film and his music the day the movie opened in theaters nationwide.

Bananas Comedy: Paul Aldrich - DVD
by Christopher Shaw
"I've seen Paul Aldrich live before (at The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, CA), bought at least a couple of his cassettes (yes, it was a while ago), and thought he was rather clever...However, his stand-up routine on the "Bananas" DVD was the best I had ever seen or heard Paul Aldrich perform before...I was pleasantly impressed. The dyslexic love song was classic, among other routines. I think you'll laugh out loud a few plus times."
