Reviews by Scott Nehring

Scott NehringScott Nehring is a film critic whose reviews can be found on his site Good News Film Reviews.  His plain-talking movie reviews have also been seen on the websites for USAToday, Reuters, The Chicago Sun-Times, The India Times, and FoxNews along with numerous local television station websites.

Scott is also the author of the ground-breaking book You Are What You See: Watching Movies Through a Christian Lens. Visit the book's website  for more information.  In his book, Scott introduces readers to the power of story and affirms that educated, alert audiences are the key to both a healthy culture and improvement of the Arts.

Along with his popular film criticism, Scott is also a speaker, instructor, and screenwriter. For the past decade, Scott has focused on teaching Christians about film and culture. It is his belief that one of the biggest reasons for the gulf between American Christianity and modern culture is that Christians have unwisely abandoned Arts and artists. This shunning of the Arts has caused Christians to fall out of step with the culture and has too often left them ill-equipped to understand or criticize it in a productive fashion.

In his spare time Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.  He also enjoys beekeeping and gardening.

Below is a list of movie reviews with the most recent ones listed first.

"Like Dandelion Dust" is a perfect example of what Christian filmmakers should be doing - making good movies worth watching!
Inception is Possibly Best Film of New Century by Scott Nehring
"Inception" is like "The Matrix" without all the black leather, pliable physics and all of that "There is no spoon" blathering.
Your Life is Too Short for Predators by Scott Nehring
Like last summer's "Terminator: Salvation," "Predators" makes the fatal mistake of taking itself far too seriously.
Toy Story 3 Is Enjoyable but Not Great by Scott Nehring
If you ignore the lack of humor, originality or actual content, you will probably enjoy "Toy Story 3," at least for a while.
