Amy Mitchell is a Pastor's wife whose husband, Matt, is a licensed and ordained minister who has served as a Worship Pastor for over 18 years. She is also blessed to be the mother of an adorable 3-year-old girl, Maryn. Amy is head of the Drama Ministry in her church and enjoys writing and performing live dramas, as well as film. She also plays keyboard and drums in The Potter's Band, the Worship band for her church.

Amy owns and operates her own piano studio, where she currently teaches 18 students. This enables her to stay home much of the time with her daughter. Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, with an emphasis on mild to moderate special education. She taught in the public school system for 5 years before deciding to stay home with her daughter. Amy and her family currently reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Amy and her husband, along with two other partners, own a Christian production company, Cross Shadow Productions, where she serves as actor, writer and Casting Director. Her husband is also the Director. They have been blessed to have two nationally distributed movies, Pray and Pray 2: The Woods, and are currently working on their third film, Paranormal.
