Patti Alvarado was born in 1973 into a Christian Mexican family. The second of four sisters, she grew up on a vineyard in Selma, California, where the family harvested raisins for SunMaid.  With degrees in Information Technology & Computer Programming, Patti worked as a computer programmer and analyst.  She has worked in the Healthcare Industry since 1999,  and is currently a Health Services & Contracts Analyst for a Health Insurance Company in Southern California. Patti also blogs about faith and family.
 
Patti met her husband Carlos, an architect, in college in 1996 and they married in 2001.  They have a two children: a boy (2 years old) and a baby girl born in 2008. In October 2007, while she was 4 weeks pregnant, Patti ran her first full marathon, and plans to do a triathlon next year.  Patti and Carlos are doing their best to raise their kids to be wise, intelligent, and confident adults.  They pray that they will become all that they can be in the Lord.
