Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
In the latest saga of the X-Men franchise we find Logan "The Wolverine" running from his past and desiring a mortal life. His struggles are aided by an old friend, a man who he saved from death several years earlier. While trying to help his friend's daughter survive he must also protect himself as his power to heal himself has been impaired. In the end the line is blurred between friendship, family and personal desires.
This film is more violent than the original X-Men movies. It also contains strong language and sexual content preventing us from considering this a family film. One of the only redeeming items in the movie is the notion that you cannot hide from yourself or your past but you must move on for the betterment of all.
