Synopsis:
Limited Theatrical Release - Also Available via VOD on 6/7/2013 - Tiger Eyes marks the first major motion picture adaptation from the work of iconic author Judy Blume, whose books have sold more than 82 million copies in 41 countries. Davey is a 17 year‐old girl abruptly relocated by her grieving mother to the strange "atom bomb" town of Los Alamos, New Mexico. With the sudden and violent death of her father, the displaced Davey no longer knows who to be or how to fit in. Everything that once mattered suddenly seems insignificant. But when she meets Wolf, a mysterious young
Native‐American, while exploring the surrounding canyons, she feels he is able to see past
her pain and into her true self. The connection they make brings Davey back from the
edge and sets her on a journey from heartbreak and confusion to transformation as she
discovers love and life after tragedy.

Dove Worldview:
This movie shows that life is a journey and it goes on, even after death.

Davey, a 17-year-old girl, meets a young Native American named Wolf and he helps her deal with her father's sudden death. He is there for her, and gives her hope that life can go on. Wolf's father speaks of the journey moving on past the grave. Wolf shows up when Davey most needs him and she in turn is a help to him as his father is dying of cancer. The cinematography is beautiful as the movie was filmed in New Mexico, the acting is solid, and the story is good. On top of it, some romance is thrown in for good measure. The theme of helping others to go on despite setbacks is wonderful.

We are pleased to award our Dove "Family-Approved" Seal to this film for ages twelve plus.
